Insane Difficulty: Anima Zero plays Midnight Sun (FE: Sacred Stones hack) - Insane Difficulty

Oh boy, I just ragequitted a FE hack not too long ago and now I'm jumping into another.

Thankfully, this hack doesn't force you to wall the fuck up every chapter. Rather, you get to sit down to a nice story and great music. I had to laugh when the title screen theme was Nue Houjuu's theme from a touhou game (Unidentified Fantastic Object).

Anyways, this hack is still a work in progress, but I wanted to show off what's been done so far.

The story starts off with stuff hitting the fan. Faratrass has to fight her own people, get good level ups in the process, then get chased out of her palace because she was setup.

Today's video has Faratrass and her savior known as Hellios running away from Moonie's pursuit troops. This is more like Faratrass deciding to park in a fort, then watch two thirds of the pursuit troops kill themselves on her. The rest thought it'd be better to fight Hellios by the way. They've made better choices I'm afraid.

Towards the end of the fight, they get assistance from an axe wielding crazy man fighting for god and a woman who doesn't take crap from ANYONE. I think I'm going to like that girl, heh.

Its great to see a Fire Emblem player that likes the game as well. You ever heard of ChinaFE?

Kjata: 10 chapters are complete as of the latest version (prologue, 5x, and chapters 1 through 8 are playable). I also edited my first post to include a link to the hack so check it out!

Cecil: Yeah, I've heard of that and watched a video or two. I think it's more or less the Sacred Stones version of FE7if from what I recall. Maybe I'll find a link for it and check it out one of these days.

Anyways, here's a couple of videos. A short story only video followed up by the group tearing the Triumvirate apart.

Remember when I said nobody fucks with Captain Rex? That still holds true to this day, but you also do not want to fuck with Captain Faratrass if you're a physical unit. She'll laugh off the damage, then proceed to tear off half or more of your health with one attack...and that's if she doesn't crit, heh.

Faratrass and her crew continue on their journey to Lazulis in today's two parter for chapter 3. Faratrass get saved by a blind girl and watches her tear things apart while the rest of her group focuses on getting levels in prepartion for the following chapter.

Everyone useful got at least one acceptable level...except for Andre. He got several good levels AND he was boosted to lv10 so he can promote next chapter, yay!

Lots of action in today's videos. Monsters make their first appearance (With the asshole demon dogs being able to double a large chunk of my army because their so damned fast), a stealth mission, and three people with a demonstration on how to shame some elite troops are some of the highlights.

Oh yeah...you know how I said Faratrass is in the category where nobody should fuck around with her?



I think I may just have another unit joining that category soon .

Faratrass capping magic, Weiss edging even closer to Captain Rex territory with his stats, and mass enemy destruction are on tap for this two parter of a chapter!

More monsters, more slaying, another party member joining up, and shit officially hitting the fan harder than ever is on tap for today's chapter.

Well, I just started this hack...

First of all, sorry Anima, not watching your vids, due to really wanting to experience this myself.
Second, I tried to play this on hard, and it was ugly. My super badass guest had like 4hp left, and my main character couldn't even solo ONE enemy unit. Holy shit. Going to try again on normal.

Oh yeah, that's another thing about this hack...it's balanced for Normal. If you try Difficult, you're doing it at your own risk as even the author says it hasn't been balanced (yet).

With that, while chapter 8 marks the end of where the current patch is at, it doesn't go out with a whimper, but a giant goddamned big bang with twists in the story, tons of monsters to kill, and...



...oh god I'm going to have another Captain Rex caliber unit .
