How did you distribute your tabs to your party members and how effective was it. For my first play-through, I focused pretty heavily on my Water party members. I gave Marle all the Speed tabs. Once she hit 16 speed, she could give herself and a slower party member Haste before that person had a chance to act. Frog received both Magic and Power tabs (along with Crono), making him my MVP of the game by far. With all the Magic tabs, I could give him the Magic Ring and Runic Blade and his Magic would be just short of Marle and Lucca. This made his Heal spell very powerful (Single tech party heal was crazy good for most of the game). Once he powered up the Masamune, he became an absolute beast that could completely switch roles when I needed him to.
When I play through again, I want to try favoring Robo by giving him the Magic and Speed tabs (enough so that his side-quest will boost him to 16, at least).
Anyone else have any crazy results?

I like dumping Power Tabs on Frog and Magic Tabs on Crono. Spire is crazy awesome. And, since my secondary party was Robo, Frog, Ayla for Spin Strike, having high power for Frog was great.
I like your idea of dumping Speed Tabs on Marle. I think I'll try that in my next playthrough.

Nice poll! I'd be interested in hearing how the Robo playthrough compares to the Frog one. They're generally pretty similar in terms of their roles, with the biggest difference being the dual and triple techs they are involved in.

I don't usually like to favour one character over another. I distributed Magic Tabs fairly evenly over my magical fighters, Power Tabs fairly evenly over my physical fighters, and I tried to even out characters' speeds as much as possible (to make dual/triple techs less wasteful of the faster character's turns).

All speed tabs go to Marle, then, you can't die. My go-to team was Robo-Marle-Crono. It's not the most offensive party, but, with Haste, Lifeline and Cure Touch (the Robo+Marle dual heal tech, IIRC), you will never die. Crono use Luminaire or Confuse, Marle and Robo heal. When things are doing great, Robo can dish out some damage too. Then you got the game beat.
Edit : It is true that giving all speed tabs to Marle implies that you do the Robo sidequest early in the end game, so he get his speed boosted significantly. Then, the speed of Marle and Robo are both good, so they don't waste time waiting for each other for dual tech.
