Insane Difficulty: Latios nowhere to be found - Insane Difficulty

Ok... so... I'm aware of the counter and it's mechanics. I found Latias pretty easily. And then, I searched for Latios. I found him at the forest maze, but because i was playing with Huge precaution, it escaped from the battle and I got a loss because of that.

No problem, Rosalina patched me up and I'm back on the game.

The thing is... after that I just can't find Latios. I've battled many places at 30, 90, 120 of the counter and I'm pretty sure I've done the counting right.

The Latios Battle is kind of one and only and if you miss your chance you miss it forever???? I could commit suicide if it were that, because it has been a Really hard ride to get here and I NEED the Soul Dew for my future battles.

Does anyone know where I went wrong?

Personally, I hunt for Latias and Latios in Rose Way where the Amazy Dayzees are. Anyway...

Keep in mind that the counter increases every time you fight a hidden monster AND every time you enter an area with a hidden monster. The most likely cause is you're simply miscounting.

I did a quick inspection of v8's code for this, and I see no reason for Latios to only appear once. If you really think you're hosed, I recommend going back to a previous save (you've been saving, right?)

I found a topic in which a user explained that Latios (the second to show) has only a 50% chances of appearing. Maybe that's a reason??? Although seems kind of unlikely.

Ya lost me. The way I do it is jump between two areas in Rose Way. First, I save state prior to the battle to see if it's Latias (or Latios). If it's not, I load the save state, leave the area, come back and try again. Within 30 tries, they WILL appear.

Exactly which is the number in the counter you have when entering the battle map?? Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong

i don't keep track of the number, but I believe it needs to be 29 (or some other similar offset) before entering the area with the hidden monster.

Finally I managed to find the thing now the soul dew is mine but omg that boss rush is HARD. I used 80 frog coins in continues before resetting the game and trying again from the start. Those amazee dazy are wicked.

Boss rush...

Personally, I ended up beating FF boss rush first.

Yeah, The final boss on Boss rush was imposibble for me. Not a slight chance at all. I saw a video on how to beat her and the guy had a Paladin. So maybe I'll go to FF Boss rush first.

Now i'm stuck in another battle.. I'll probably keep on testing before complaining, but i've been like half an hour hitting that damn and he won't go down....

As far as the pokemon battle goes, keep in mind certain pokemon heal a life every so often.

YEah it was kind of a long fight. Finally beated him for kerocolas... T-T Nothing very useful.

Now into the FF Boss Rush Let's see how i perform xD
