I don't know if this goes to the right topic, so sorry if it's wrong place. First, Big Thanks to LandonRay for making this mod, it's awesome!. Second, I'm in the 1st CD, and I've found two glitches/bugs:
1) I can't enter Pinnacle Rock (I know I don't have to do it in the 1st CD, but I tried it out of curiosity.). Screen goes black and leaves the world map music playing. Nothing happens.
2) I dug up my second Chocograph, and tried to go to Gizamaluke's grotto. Except it wasn't there. The whole mountain was -poof it's gone-. And so was the bridge that get's you to the are where Chocobo's forest is. Just water. And when I tried to get of my chocobo, the game froze partially. Music keeps playing, but I'm stuck on my bird, can't control it, rather no commands are responded.

just wanted to leave a quick question: What are your plans regarding Excalibur II? Still unsure what I would wish for, are you going to change the way of obtaining it?
Really looking forward to the final version, best of luck with your work :]

To leertaste1, the Excalibur II is now a rare steal from Ozma.

1) The items and equipment could be more expensive in the shop, twice the price I think it would be cool.
2) The Trance bar could no longer be activated alone, it would make her not be wasted anymore (in circumstances which everyone knows). However I know this goes against the sense of Trance that would be activated by rage and uncontrollable emotions of the characters, then there is the sugetão.
3) the amount of money lost in the use of the Flee skill could be quite high, to do the player think about before using it.
4) Not sure if this is possible but it would be nice to remove Zidanes from the main party, and would be even cooler is that to be able to walk with the othes characters on the world map and cities, like the old FF.

Status hit formula is something like this...
base chance to hit + character level + (magic / 4) - enemy's level = chance to hit
Then the RNG spits out a number from 1 to 100. If the number is less than or equal to the enemy's magic evasion, then the attack misses. If the number is greater than the chance to hit, then the attack misses. If the number is greater than the enemy's magic evasion and less than or equal to the chance to hit, then the attack hits.
To be fair, I haven't actually check to see if gravity-based attacks use this formula.

The beginning is overall fine.
The ice cave: This was a bit hard because of vastly limited resources
First black waltz: He was hard I had to level to level 7 and there still was quite some luck involved and I had to be in trance. Did I miss some strategy?
Second black waltz: Was fairly easy I should have disabled the spell counter
Third black waltz: this one was pretty easy because I had drain
Gizamaluke: This one was hard and I won with bio and pyro spamming.
Beatrix: This applies to all fightts with her. It was surprisingly easy.
Third black waltz (again): this was easy but took forever because I had weak weapons equipped but this is also the case in vanilla.
The snake thingy in the tunnels: This one was ok
The series of fights after the final beatrix fight: They are to hard imo the fights where you have beatrix in your party are pretty much luck based and there is quite some time after
Zorn Thron: Not hard if you know what to do.
The second snake: Easiest boss if you know what to do.
Lani: I'm here right know and pretty much ran into a brick wall. I'm at level 15 and she mops the floor with my party. Its hard to damage her and she attacks twice as fast as the party. Water still kills the weak party members and hurts the other ones pretty bad even with shell and water resisting equipment. Is there any strategy to kill her?

Also, keep in mind that you should try to keep your party close to the level of the enemies your fighting. I believe Lani is level 19, so being around level 17 or so wouldn't be a bad idea.

Overall I just wanted to say I love this patch and keep up the good work! But seriously...could you look at Tiamat? Or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong that makes this fight so rage-inducing haha.

I definitely overleveled before entering Memoria because I'm not confident in my FF9 skills. I entered around lvl 80-90 for my main party, and still had to run from every fight. The bosses were hard, and I think I only beat a few of them because of Dyne. Kuja I won on my first try from sheer luck of Flare Stars missing, and Necron I won on my first try because of two rebirth flames (synthed 99 phoenix pinions, but still very lucky).
The one thing I noticed throughout the game was how stupidly powerful auto-reflect is. Getting the reflect ring is easy, and once you have a few people with auto-reflect you can pretty much win most random battles and even some boss fights (Lani) through reflecting spells alone. Not saying it should be changed since I don't even know if I could have gotten through the game without it
Thanks for the great mod

After that the next tough part was when I had Steinner and marcus in the Alexandria's Castle. I forgot the stellazio in Burmecia so I didnt have the Blood Sword, this alone was not a problem but not having potions / phoenix down was. I did some steal with Marcus praying not to die and gathered around 10 and I could beat the next encounters.
In cd2 I found a perfect place to grind in the conde petit where u had an inn to rest and the monster were easy with some poison and silences. I got some levels and money and it was ok.
In the fights versus Lani, the big troll and the tree I only managed to get them down using Lucky seven and praying for a 7777. It is a bit lame but I had no choice.
I must say I only played ff ix when it first came out. I was a child and didnt understand well the ability system and I remember not being able to beat ozma. So my knowledge about the game is pretty bad. I didnt do any chocobo or other mini-games and I am always in a wiki to see if the enemys had a worthy blue magic to get.
To the author of the mod I must thank you for this awesome work and the amount of hours you dropped in this without earning money which is really loable. I want to finish this and then give a shot to your ff viiii project, maybe its finished by the time i end this.
I am really enjoying the difficulty and rebalance and of couse the game itself.
Thanks again and keep up with the good work
By the way, sorry for my bad English!
Edit: I am playing in the PSP so i cannot save state anything. I dont recommend this but my pc is broken
