How would you guys like these to be released? In sections, or just a couple then wait for the finished product?

It's gonna be awhile before I can tackle this, so my opinion doesn't mean shit. However, I'd still say a couple and then the finished product. Nothing like that anticipation...at least for me. It makes the ultimate climax all that much better.

I'd say release as often as you like and let everyone else pick their own pace at hopping in.
We are not some prickly customer base that needs to have their every whim catered for . Having access to multiple iterations of the same thing can actually be interesting.

Well no, what I meant was more along the lines of is that gonna ruin the suspense and thus would it be better not to release them every so often.

In actual game studio work you want to release internal builds as often as you can, but release to actual customers only when you have a stable build and either ready to roll out, or need some en masse playtesting.
I personally will probably be downloading version 0.X once you say you are done with it and are ready to start on 0.X+1. My reason is not so much suspence, though, as that i don't really want to find myself too often in a situation where major changes happened to the part of the game that i have already done (because then i'd have to go back and redo it ).
In that regard, i'm more like a customer than an in-house tester.
In practice, however, your creative process might benefit from having some people play 0.X before you are done with it to provide different perspectives.

I'll probably jump on board once a substantial portion of the game is finished. I have a lot of other games to play right now.

What I'm going to end up doing in that case is taking notes as I go on what I think needs to be changed, and once all the betas are out, make said changes and release the final product, so you may have to play it over anyway.

This is a very good point.

I can go either way as long as I don't have to restart the game many times.
