So, as all of you cool kids know, SGDQ is now upon us. And as most of you who have ever talked to me know, I speedrun a Mega Man fangame with ponies in it in the hopes of one day performing at a GDQ event. Not only is it a good cause (charity n' shit), but I feel like I'm doing a good deed by giving some exposure to what is actually a very good game that a lot of people either haven't heard of at all or would probably ignore because, well, ponies.

I just got done watching the kickass X2 (suck it, Hart) race and it got me really wanting to have one for Mega Pony. Obviously, I would be inclined to play with a handicap being the only person with speedrun experience, but I think it would be a lot of fuckin' fun if anyone is down for it.

And if not, if nothing else, I'd appreciate any sort of help or support with actually making it to GDQ. If it weren't for this site, I wouldn't even know about GDQ at all, and I certainly don't intend to go there without letting everyone know who helped me every step of the way there.

I'll chime in, having seen him stream this multiple times (Follow him at www.twitch.tv/billytbum ) I can honestly recommend taking a look at this if you're in any way a fan of megaman or games like megaman. Even if you took the pony references away, the entire game would still stand entirely on it's own as a very solid, entertaining experience. And more then a fair bit challenging. (And he makes it look EASY when he plays) IT's a wonderful rendition of classic 8bit megaman gaming, and if you want to get into running it like him, it's very much a runnable title.

Please, by all means, at least check out this mans stream, and encourage others to do so, even if you don't pick the game up yourself.
