We, as a community, tend to get off topic real quick. So, with multiple channels, instead of the topic being changed as a result of natural conversation progression, we have a bunch of shit being said in side channels.
For the mods hosted here, having a channel for the mod is helpful both for fans and the creator. The creator gets a log of everything being said, and people asking questions will get answers because the creator is almost certainly going to see it.
For Dark Souls 3, I made the channel to give a week of breathing room, so people who couldn't get it on release and cram it could have the opportunity to figure shit out themselves, spoiler free. However, my intent was only on having it up for a week, and then taking it down. Seeing at least 1 person express wanting to discuss some hardcore spoiler shit, but feeling that the channel wasn't the right place makes me feel that the channel needs to be repurposed.
I think it should be a channel for late game stuff, serious lore discussion, and the like. Stuff that you only have an interesting in seeing if you have gotten pretty far or beaten the game. General talk like "fuck this specific enemy" should be allowed. Lets be honest, if you havent played it yet, you likely won't play it soon. And you can't avoid spoilers forever.
However, I'm not going to do something that isn't easily undone on my own feelings. If i change the format, and then a lot of people who wanted to remain unspoiled get spoiled, I can't take it back.
So, should the channel be made for pretty major spoilers, or should it stay the way it is?

I don't care either way. Haven't played those games yet, and by the time I get to it, probably wouldn't remember anything said in that channel about it.

We're not having channels just for the sake of some not being spoiled of the end-game of some random game (which is not even a mod of the site). A channel is allowed if it has constant talk that clutters the chat. Its only purpose is for the chat to be organized.
The moment DS3 stops being a trending topic (aka it won't clutter the main chat anymore), that channel is disappearing. And if you don't want anything spoiled on the internet, then you might as well not be in the internet. At this point, only plain ass-holery will be the reason to be banned, as its always been, and any ban that I consider unjustified that's related to the matter will be undone.

To be fair, when I made it I literally said "this is for spoilers, and will only be up for a week."
