Difficulty Meter for Games

This is not a suggestion, really. This idea has already been discussed. I'm making a thread here so we can have a more organised discussion over the subject.
We need to figure out a way to allow voting on the difficulty of a game, based off your experiences. Your votes will turn a speedometer or any other form of a meter, displaying the amount of difficulty.
I was thinking about http://www.systemreq...tslab.com/cyri/ - but we would need to somehow correspond the frequency of votes with the level of the meter.
Archael and I have also talked about having separate images of a speedometer with different levels, corresponding to the amount of votes - each difficulty level being a separate image.
Please discuss your suggestions and codes here.

I can design all possible positions for the difficulty meter
I even have the arrow already made... think about this thing moving left and right etc
(work in progress)

OK, BUT - if you only had 5 levels of difficulty or so, you could have 5 gifs. It starting from 0 and moving like a speedometer to wherever.
It would really only make it look better.

voting on the difficulty meter with account tracking might be hard to pull off
I'm thinking of ways to get it working
I have the art done already though

Good to hear.
And yeah, I have been brainstorming as well. I'm sure you could use some variables and get it done, but I don't know what you can do with css/ html. My only other suggestion would be javascript.

any suggestions / editions are welcome
or if anyone wants to make a better "meter" just submit 5 images, it's really easy to replace later on, just a matter of replacing the image file the pages will use
