Nuzlocke X: A Pokemon X (blind) Nuzlocke

Currently leveling a bunch of Pokemon to at least 36 so progress is slow. I did check out the farm but there wasn't much to write home about. Just a few items (wtf is this Sachet for?) and riding around on Skiddo and jumping fences and hillsides. Kinda neat. Will post about levels when I'm done leveling, but I have gotten Frills up to 36 and Hoser to 36. I will probably evolve Panpour at the mid-40 mark like I plan on doing for Floette. Might level Anubis and Princess to 36 and move on to the Kalos Power Plant.

Dammit Altima, now I'm gonna break out Y again. Because you've made me wanna play again.

I'm playing right now as well, although my levels are a bit higher than yours by about 3-5 levels.
I'm loving the Exp. Share option, it's extremely helpful for Nuzlocke. Being able to train up new recruits with your starter is awesome.
My current team is:
Lv. 40 "Silvy" the Delphox Thief/Mystical Fire/Psybeam/Light Screen
Lv. 38 "Flabby" the Floette Petal Blizzard/Magical Leaf/Fairy Wind/Wish
Lv. 40 "Bowser" the Blastoise Protect/Surf/Aqua Tail/Bite
Lv. 38 "Swerdash" the Doublade Shadow Claw/Swords Dance/Iron Defense/Cut
Lv. 40 "Peegee" the Pidgeot Thief/Feather Dance/Wing Attack/Quick Attack
Lv. 26 "Chompy" the Tyrunt Strength/Stealth Rock/Bite/Ancient Power
I'm just passing the Skiddo ranch right now, so far I'm loving the changes over previous generations. Lots of nice touches were added to streamline the game.

Almost done EV training practically anyone that might be in my party for the foreseeable future. Meaning, full EVs on Firefox, Green, Anubis, Chyna, Frills, Masamune, Princess, Skysoar, and Sprite. Maybe someone else I don't remember. That's where I'm at now, lol. Fixing to go into the Kalos Power Plant.

Now that I'm done with all the things that had to be done for my 24-hour 20th Anniversary Doom celebratory stream on Twitch.tv, I can post and progress!
The Kalos Power Plant wasn't much either. There were some members of Team Flare, and I distinctly remember two Swalots that I had to deal with which were about as dangerous as it got. Fought a Team Flare Admin who had a Houndoom, who was promptly KOed by Chyna, while an actual named Flare member, Aliana, stepped up with a Mightyena... which ALSO promptly went down to Chyna. So nothing out of the ordinary there. I DO, however, wonder what in the fuck Team Flare needed THAT MUCH ENERGY for?? No possible device I could imagine needs half of a city's energy supply for a period of time...
Now that THAT is done, it's time to go back to Lumiose City. Everyone takes me to the Prism Tower in Centrico Plaza (which looks like the Eiffel Tower), where Clemont is. Apparently he's the Gym Leader here, and judging by the fact I just came out of a power plant makes me think this is going to be Electric. Not to mention he's an inventor... so there is the possibility of maybe Steel? Although, he IS the one that came up with the Super Training thing that I've been using... so Electric seems more plausible. I could be wrong. I was about Coumarine's Gym, after all.
After exploring Lumiose City for literally HOURS, I'm finally ready to take on the Gym!
Pretty lights everywhere! AND I WAS RIGHT. It's Electric-types. I have no ground types, however I do have Green who can resist Electricity and Sprite who has some ridiculous special defense. Everyone else should be fine. I'll go ahead and list my team comp.
Current Team, Level, Type, Ability, Moves, and Held Item:
Lv.38 "Foxfire" the Delphox [Fire/Psychic] (Blaze) :: Psybeam/Flame Charge/Mystical Fire/Psyshock --- holding Amulet Coin
Lv.38 "Green" the Venusaur [Grass/Poison] (Overgrow) :: Sleep Powder/Poison Powder/Leech Seed/Petal Dance --- holding Venusaurite
Lv.38 "Sprite" the Floette [Fairy] (Flower Veil) :: Wish/Magical Leaf/Fairy Wind/Protect --- holding Eviolite
Lv.39 "Masamune" the Doublade [Steel/Ghost] (No Guard) :: Shadow Sneak/Swords Dance/Slash/Night Slash --- holding Rocky Helmet
Lv.38 "Chyna" the Machoke [Fighting] (Guts) :: Strength/Payback/Rock Tomb/Low Sweep --- holding Expert Belt
Lv.39 "Frills" the Amaura [Rock/Ice] :: Hail/Ancient Power/Charge Beam/Aurora Beam --- holding Leftovers
It's a quiz Gym. My first thoughts are the Petalburg Gym and this being similar, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.
So the place is designed around a giant elevator in the middle. Makes sense being a tower and all. OKAY. THIS IS FUNNY. I'm playing "Who's That Pokemon" I swear to fuck. It's the outline of a Pikachu and I have to talk to the trainer standing in front of the correct answer's elevator. If that isn't a throwback I dunno what is. First trainer though is Schoolboy Finnian who sends out his Dedenne. It looks just like a fat Raichu. Wow... so anyway! I send out Chyna to start with. Dedenne uses Charge Beam and I hit with Low Sweep, which is resisted. Gotta be part Fairy. That speed drop though. It uses Charge Beam a second time and gets a special attack boost and I hit with Rock Tomb for another speed drop. I'm faster now and hit once more with Rock Tomb to KO it, sending the schoolboy home crying. Chyna levels to 39 and Green levels to 39 via Exp. Share. Green wanted to learn Worry Seed but I declined.
Of course it's a Pikachu. I'm not fucking stupid and that thing is like a damn mascot. If I didn't have THAT outline then I need to just quit at Pokemon. Although if I don't answer correctly I get to battle more trainers... so I guess I'm going to start missing them on purpose? I would like the experience, personally. If getting the right answer blocks off two trainers a floor, I guess it will pay off to be wrong...
The next floor has a Fletchling as the answer, but I decide that Taillow would make a better answer and say to hell with it. Let's see what a wrong answer does. Time to face Rising Star Helene. She sends out a Manectric while I send out Firefox. I hit with Mystical Fire which does over 50% HP and lowers it's special attack one stage. Manectric uses Quick Attack and I follow up with Psybeam for the KO. Firefox levels to 39. Sprite levels to 39 via Exp. Share. That's it for that trainer!
For my next trick, I answer incorrectly again by saying it's Pidgey. I obviously know what Pidgey looks like, I have the final stage on my team! So it's on to face Rising Star Nelly! She sends out Magneton against Firefox... that's bad news for her as I just hit with Mystical Fire and win. GG SCRUB GO HOME. And that's that.
Now to face the final trainer on this floor by answering correctly this time with Fletchling. Rising Star Estel guards the elevator and sends out Raichu. I send out Chyna. Raichu uses Thunderbolt and almost KOs Chyna... oh dear. I hit with Low Sweep and almost do the same, except now Raichu is slower. I dunno if I wanna chance this or not. So I give Chyna a Hyper Potion to chug while Raichu uses Quick Attack. Glad I used that Potion. Raichu uses Tail Whip and lowers my defense, and I just hit with Payback for the KO. Time to move up a floor.
Up on the next floor, it's more quizzical advancement. This one is obviously a Panpour but I'll be answering wrong again, twice. I answer Pansear. I am challenged by Ace Trainer Maxim! He sends out Electrode to take on Chyna. I know just how fast Electrode is, but it's other stats are lacking. Electrode sets up a Light Screen and I hit it with Low Sweep for the speed drop and near OHKO. Electrode hits with Electro Ball and I turn and hit with Payback. Static goes off paralyzing Chyna, but the knock out does happen. Chyna levels to 40 and wants to learn Wake-Up Slap. I decide to pass this one up, despite being 5 points more powerful for the fact Low Sweep is a guaranteed speed drop, vs. a move that only does extra damage if the opponent is asleep. Granted, I can set that up, but that takes 2 turns to do so. Frills levels to 40 via Exp. Share. Masamune levels to 40 via Exp Share.
So I guess the whole Gym is a 1vTeam type thing all the way up... which will make advancement easy. I answer with Pansage and face off against Ace Trainer Mathis. He sends out Lanturn and I send out Firefox. FUCK I need to switch. I swap Firefox out for Green due to resistances and such. Lanturn uses Bubble Beam for resisted damage. I Mega Evolve into Mega Venusaur and just use Petal Dance to finish this thing off without any issue. Firefox levels to 40.
The last trainer guards the right door to go up. It's Ace Trainer Rico! He sends out an Ampharos to take on Firefox. I'm faster and get the Mystical Fire off first, which does almost half damage. Ampharos uses Confuse Ray and confuses Firefox. I hit myself during confusion and Ampharos uses Power Gem, a Rock-type special attack. Oh dear. I switch Firefox out and bring in Green like last matchup. That Power Gem kinda hurt. Ampharos uses it again but is met with no weakness through Venusaur. I again, Mega Evolve into Mega Venusaur and use Petal Dance to mop the floor with this thing. Static goes off but do I care? Nah. Ampharos goes down and I move on to the next floor.
This floor's answer is Butterfree, Vivillon, Mothim... and I have to choose which one Vivillon is. Which is 2. So I'll fight 1 and 3. Standing at the first one is Pokè Fan Abigail. She sends out a Minun and I toss Sprite out there to hold it off. Minun uses Electro Ball for almost no damage and I hit with Fairy Wind for a bit, not a whole lot though. Minun uses Electro Ball again and this time I use Magical Leaf to see if there's a damage difference. It doesn't look like there is though. Minun, again, uses Electro Ball. I hit with Fairy Wind. Abigail uses a Super Potion for Minun and is hit with Fairy Wind yet again. Isn't this exciting? Minun uses Electro Ball, yet again (which lands a crit that I didn't even care about), and I hit with Fairy Wind, yet again, for the KO.
The one guarding the third door is Pokè Fan Tara. She sends out a Pikachu and I send Sprite out again. I lead off with Protect to see what this thing might use. Glad I did, it has Nuzzle. That move is SUPER annoying. Pikachu uses Slam and misses, and I hit for over half health with Fairy Wind. I use another Protect to see if it will use Nuzzle, but instead it uses Feint to go through Protect. I've... never seen that move actually do what it's supposed to do. Huh. Pikachu uses Feint again, doing super low damage both times. I hit with Fairy Wind and KO. Sprite levels to 40.
Time to face the one at the right answer. Pokè Fan Lydie. She sends out Plusle (should've seen this coming since one had Minun), and I send Sprite out yet again. Plusle uses Electro Ball (not this shit again) and critically hits. I use Fairy Wind and deal around 1/3 damage. Even on a crit it doesn't do a lot of damage. Plusle uses Copycat to deal a whopping 5 HP damage back to me with Fairy Wind, which I then use myself for WAY more damage. Minun uses Swift to deal 8 HP damage (LOL) and I use Mystical Leaf to just knock the sorry thing out.
Oh yay, time for the Gym Leader! I head back outside and rest that the Pokemon Center before coming back to the top. I decide to try out the Taxi service and the public Gogoat Transportation in the mean time before heading back. Kinda neat actually, I like it.
Back up top...
You are challenged by Leader Clemont, the Electrifying Inventor! Clemont sends out Emolga! Go Firefox! Oh goddammit, not an Emolga! I use a Mystical Fire to hit it and nearly OHKO it, and it retaliates with an Aerial Ace. Clemont uses a Hyper Potion, which I was anticipating for... so I Psyshock it for almost the same amount of damage. Clemont uses another Hyper Potion and I hit with Flame Charge, dealing a bit of damage and boosting my speed by a stage. Static goes off but I just shrug it off with a Cheri Berry. Emolga uses Aireal Ace again. I use Mystical Fire to finish off Emolga. I hate that flying rat! He sends out a Magneton and I switch out for Chyna to hit the Steel-typing hard. Magneton uses Thunderbolt to hit for MASSIVE damage from a critical hit. Magneton's Sturdy prevents it from being an OHKO, but that Thunderbolt practically crippled Chyna. I know Chyna can do this so I give her a Hyper Potion. Magneton hits Thunderbolt again and hits for half HP. Fuck! I only give Chyna a Super Potion this time around and Magneton uses Electric Terrain. What the fuck is this? "An electric current runs across the battlefield!" I don't like this... Chyna uses Low Sweep to finish off Magneton. Chyna levels to 41. Firefox levels to 41 via Exp. Share. Clemont's final Pokemon is Heliolisk. I'm going to send out Frills here. I know Heliolisk is an evolution to Helioptile, so I presume it's still Normal/Electric... maybe the Rock-typing will help out here. Chyna returns and Frills comes out. Heliolisk uses Grass Knot and HURTS with that. I use Hail to try to play the weather and battlefield to my advantage. Leftovers trigger and heal me up to a risky-yet-safe amount of health. Heliolisk uses Grass Knot again and leaves Frills with 8 HP. Frills returns the hit with Aurora Beam hitting for over half HP, and Leftovers goes off putting Frills at 19 HP. I can't risk that again, so I use a Hyper Potion to at least get Frills back to full HP. Heliolisk uses Thunderbolt to hit for some nasty damage, but nothing like Grass Knot. The electricity finally leaves the battlefield. Heliolisk uses Grass Knot and leaves 23 HP on Frills, who KOs it with Aurora Beam one last time. Frills levels to 41.
Clemont has been defeated and the Voltage Badge is mine! That's a neat looking badge, too. I'm given TM24, Thunderbolt. I REFUSE to complain about this being a repeat, as it's THE go-to Electric attack. Sweet! Besides, Frills can learn Thunderbolt, FUCK YES. I replaced Charge beam on Frills.
As I leave the Gym, Professor Sycamore calls me on the Holo Caster and invites me to Lysandre's Cafe for a chit-chat. As I enter I see he and Lysandre standing there waiting for me. After a bit of backstory and an explanation that this game is based around life and death (which I was right about), Lysandre gives me the King's Rock. A fantastic held item, even if you don't use it to evolve a Slowpoke into a Slowking. Stepping outside, Trevor calls me on the Holo Caster to let me know everyone's heading to Route 14. I think I'll stop at Route 15 first to catch a new team member, THEN to 14 to catch another one.
That's all for now!

I'll be stopping at only 14, as it was 16 I had in mind (not 15) and it's blocked off. Just tossing that up here. Heading to work, lol.

So I guess my comment never posted. Anyway, what's taking me so long with a new post is that I've been training Squishy the Tentacruel up. Just when I thought I was good for every situation, I find it safer to level this girl up. Besides, her and Green could become best friends, what with her having Toxic Spikes and all. It would allow me to teach Green how to use Venoshock for some MASSIVE Poison-type damage, although I'd have to ditch Toxic (which I just taught him but hey, I can reteach it later). Pretty much the strategy I'm using for this Gym is... Lead with Squishy, lay down two layers of Toxic Spikes, then switch to Green and use Venoshock on *EVERYTHING*. Should be beyond easy. Even IF Green gets hit hard, I can switch to Anubis and just Poison Jab on top of the Toxic Spikes damage. Yeah, I'm thinking of every possible way to make sure that this next Gym is a faceroll.

Alright. So! Route 14 was uneventful. I caught a Quagsire [Water/Ground] that I named Mireleigh... possibly the most inventive name I've had yet. I did finally go back and level up Jack the Bunnelby until he evolved into a Diggersby, which is quite possibly the most frightening thing I've seen in a while. Or, rather, disturbing. Leveling up Squishy the Tentacool into a Tentacruel and getting her to 41 was VERY time consuming and I had to play VERY carefully until I got to that Tentacruel stage. She was rather delicate and made the level up process quite painful 'til that point. Not to mention the EV training of maxing out her HP and then putting a little into defense and putting the remainder in special defense. Came close to losing her at least 3 times though. Came close to losing Jack now that I think about it, stupid thing had 5 HP left at one point... Jack's kinda useless at this point so he can sit quietly in the box until I'm desperate if somehow that happens. Doubt it.
Route 14 was completely different than what I expected, btw. Just throwing that out there.

Lv.43 "Masamune" the Doublade [Steel/Ghost] (No Guard) :: Shadow Sneak/Swords Dance/Slash/Night Slash --- holding Rocky Helmet
Lv.41 "Anubis" the Lucario [Fighting/Steel] (Steadfast) :: Power-Up Punch/Swords Dance/Poison Jab/Bone Rush --- holding Lucarionite
Lv.41 "Squishy" the Tentacruel [Water/Poison] :: Toxic Spikes/Water Pulse/Wrap/Acid Spray --- holding Poison Barb
Into the Laverre City Gym! Glad to see my prediction in this being a Fairy-type Gym was correct! First of all, holy fuck it looks like a rainbow threw up EVERYWHERE in this first room. Even better, this is totally set up like Sabrina's old Psychic Gym in the Kanto region... teleporters. Everywhere. Oh boy. I'm going to type this out differently than normal, so bear with me.
I take the one on the top right and it takes me to a strange black and yellow room with a sewing machine and a mannequin. I take the bottom right one in this room...
...and go to a very ornate bathroom. There's a decorative tub and lavish sink with a mirror. Even the toilet is decorative. I go to the one in the top right...
...and end up in a study with books. There's a trainer here. Furisode Girl Linnea! Wut? Oh well, gonna smash her in. Go Anubis! She sends out Aromatisse... what... in fuck is THAT thing? It's some sort of pink thing with adorable eyes and a big furry body and points that look like horns? Let's hit it with Bone Rush. I want to see what this thing is for future reference... which hits normally, 3 times. Not a lot of damage. Aromatisse uses Attract. That's gonna be annoying. Anubis is immobilized by love. Fantastic. Aromatisse uses Charm and drops Anubis's attack by two stages. Gonna try for a Swords Dance, which fails because he's still in love. And then it uses Moonblast for HOLY FUCK THAT HURT. WHAT. Switching! Anubis returns and I send out Masamune for some defensive maneuvers. She eats a Moonblast, even resisted that seriously hurt. Masamune uses Swords Dance, but that's canceled out by a Charm. So, Swords Dance again...which is met with Charm. So another Swords Dance followed by ANOTHER Charm. For fuck's sake, this is annoying! ANOTHER Swords Dance. This time Masamune absorbs another Moonblast, putting her at 52 HP. I give Masamune a Super Potion, and Masamune soaks up a Moonblast. Masamune goes for a Shadow Sneak which doesn't quite knock out, but it does enough damage... and is met with a Charm. That's fine, I've done enough to get a KO with Shadow Sneak unboosted now. Thank fuck. If this is just a trainer, that's very... foreboding. Not in the good way, either. At least it's over. I proceed to take the bottom left...
...and arrive in a fancy dining room of sorts. Another trainer lurks here. You know, it just dawned on me, as the trainer says it.... THIS IS A FUCKING DOLL HOUSE. WHAT. Mind. Blown. Fuck. That's... that's honestly? Perfect for a Fairy-type Gym. Furisode Girl Blossom attacks! Or, rather, her Pokemon. She sends out a Klefki. Sadly, this one got spoiled for me. Sadface. Anyway, I send out Anubis again. I pop the Mega Evolution and turn him into Mega Lucario. Klefki uses Imprison and Anubis uses Poison Jab... me forgetting that it's a Steel-type completely. Great! Let's try that again. I switch out for Firefox who switches into a Torment. Not a problem. He immediately uses Mystical Fire and puts Klefki down. Firefox levels to 44. I switch back to Anubis as she sends out Granbull. I know this is a pure Fairy-type so this won't be too difficult. Straight-up murder with Poison Jab. She sends in a Kirlia and I send out Masamune. Shadow Sneak scores a one-hit KO right out of the ball, netting me the victory. Masamune levels to 44. I take the bottom right...
...and am sent to a bedroom with another trainer. A big 4-post bed. Everything in this Gym is just ornate. Then again, it IS a giant doll house. Furisode Girl Katherine comes out swinging with a Slurpuff! I send out Anubis again. He's a great power-lead as long as he doesn't get hit hard. I just go for a Poison Jab immediately. Doesn't KO but Slurpuff retaliates with a Draining Kiss. This having no defensive stats on Lucario is hurting, but another Poison Jab KOs the little puffball. Anubis levels to 42. OH YES. HE WANTS TO LEARN AURA SPHERE. Totally forgetting Power-Up Punch for that! That's the end of her! I move up to the top left...
...and am put in front of the Gym Leader. Not quite yet. Let's go back down...
...to the dining room and take the bottom left...
...to a room with a vanity mirror in it. Taking the bottom left again...
...takes me to the bathroom. Going backwards to the start and taking the top left...
...I arrive at a decorative fireplace. There is another trainer here. Furisode Girl Kali challenges me to a battle! She sends out a Dedenne. I've seen this thing in the previous Gym, so I know what to do here. Anubis uses a Swords Dance and the Dedenne misses with Charge Beam. Anubis goes Mega and then hits with Poison Jab, knocking out the Dedenne in a single blow. She sends out Azumarill. I'm gonna keep Anubis out for another Poison Jab, scoring another single hit KO. That's it for her! To the bottom left...
...takes me to the study again. I believe I've been everywhere, so it's time to head out to the Pokemon Center.
Seriously? I had to use my own typing to find the Gym Leader again. Jeez... I hope my strategy works...
You are challenged by Leader Valerie, the Fae Mystic! Leader Valerie sent out Mawile! Go Squishy! Whoaaaaaaaa Mawile?? Alright... at least her Steel typing won't soak up my Toxic Spikes. Squishy uses Toxic Spikes and lays the first lair down. Mawile uses Crunch which scores a critical hit. Squishy lays down the second layer of Toxic Spikes. So far so good, although Mawile uses Crunch again. I switch out to Firefox who FORTUNATELY switches in to an Iron Defense. I realized what I did after the fact and thought I just sent him to die. Firefox uses Flamethrower and hits for a full on one-hit KO. Valerie sends out Sylveon. This is the fabled new Eeveelution! I switch out for Green, as per strategy. Sylveon lands right on top of the Toxic Spikes! Green breaks out as a Mega and slaps Leech Seed on Sylveon. Sylveon uses Charm, which lowers Green's attack 2 stages... not that I was going to use that. Green hits with Venoshock for a speedy one-hit KO. Green levels to 44. She sends out a Mr. Mime. WAIT, THIS IS A TREAT. IT IS A FEMALE MR. MIME. AHAHAHAHAHA. YES. Anyway, she lands in the Toxic Spikes and I use Leech Seed. Mr. Mime uses Light Screen to cut special damage in half. In comes the Venoshock, dealing yet another one-hit KO, despite the Light Screen. Wow, it worked! YES! Funny enough, I used the O-Power for increased money and then with Firefox holding the Amulet Coin, I scored 26,880 cash from that fight! Heh! Makin' that bank roll!
Valerie has been defeated! She hands over the Fairy Badge and TM99 Dazzling Gleam! Seems to be a straight-forward powerful Fairy-type attack. Special damage, at that. Sweet! I'm sure I can teach that to someone here soon enough. As I step out of the Gym, two of the hometown friends run up to me and invite me to the Poke Ball Factory. I'll check that out next time!
Route 14 was completely different than what I expected, btw. Just throwing that out there.
Current Team, Level, Type, Ability, Moves, and Held Item:
Lv.43 "Foxfire" the Delphox [Fire/Psychic] (Blaze) :: Psybeam/Flame Charge/Mystical Fire/Psyshock --- holding Amulet Coin
Lv.43 "Green" the Venusaur [Grass/Poison] (Overgrow) :: Sleep Powder/Venoshock/Leech Seed/Petal Dance --- holding Venusaurite
Lv.43 "Sprite" the Floette [Fairy] (Flower Veil) :: Wish/Magical Leaf/Fairy Wind/Protect --- holding Eviolite

The AGDQ has kept me rather distracted and I haven't had a lot of free time to play, but I decided to post picking up exactly where I left off!
It begins with switching out Squishy the Tentacruel and Anubis the Lucario and replacing them with the usual crew of Chyna the Machoke and Frills the Aurorus. From there, going North to the Poke Ball Factory to have Trevor and Shauna being chased away by a Team Flare grunt. What could they be possibly up to? Let's check it out...
Going inside there is a Flare grunt standing there, who Calem intercepts and taunts. Running up some stairs, I engage my first Flare grunt.
Team Flare Grunt challenges me and sends out a Toxicroak. I send out Frills... and I know for fact I need to get him out of there. 4x weakness to the part-Fighting that a Toxicroak is means bad news. The problem is I don't have something that can handle Toxicroak's array of attack types, so I send in Firefox and hope for the best. Toxicroak uses Sucker Punch which misses due to the switch. However, Toxicroak DOES hit with Sucker Punch the second time, dealing Super-Effective damage. In return he's met with a 4x Psyshock to succeed in the OHKO.
The second Flare Grunt attacks, beginning with Mightyena. I send out Frills agian to deal with this pooch. Mightyena uses Odor Sleuth and I begin a hailstorm with Hail. Mightyena takes Hail damage. I go first and hit with Aurora Beam while Mightyena Roars out Frills and Masamune comes in to cover. Masamune and Mightyena take Hail damage but it knocks out the Mightyena. I send in Frills to intercept the Golbat this Grunt tosses at me. Golbat uses Swift which does 6 HP. I retaliate with an Aurora Beam for an OHKO, winning the encounter. Frills levels to 44.
Moving along through the conveyor belts I bump into a female Grunt who leads with Scraggy. HILARIOUS as I start with Sprite this time. Hello, 4x Fairy Wind damage, scoring an OHKO! She sends in Mightyena. I use another Fairy Wind but do not get an OHKO, Mightyena immediately using Odor Sleuth after taking the hit. A second Fairy Wind puts the dog down. Sprite levels to 44.
Climbing a set of stairs I'm walking up in the rafters above the bottom floor and bump into another Grunt ready to do battle. She leads with Swallot and I toss out Firefox. Too easy. Firefox gets an OHKO on Swallot using Psyshock, which just ends the battle instantaneously.
Up in the top left corner of the second... "floor" of sorts... I find the crew that work inside the Poke Ball Factory. Someone in here has the ability to restore my Pokemon's health, so GG TEAM FLARE LOLOLOLOL. God they are so dumb. Climbing down the stairs from that room I find a switch which reverses the conveyor belts. The first one I take places me at some stairs that go up and to the top right room on the "second floor", behind the guard that was watching it.
As I step inside I find a few of the higher-up members of Team Flare cornering the President of the Poke Ball Factory... until they notice me and engage in combat! Team Flare Admin attacks, opening with Scraggy! I send out Firefox who immediately gets switched out for Sprite. Scraggy uses Scary Face to lower my speed two stages. Scraggy uses Payback to hit for little damage and I return the favor with a 4x Fairy Wind for an OHKO. She sends out a Houndoom. Knowing that Fire resists Fairy I switch out for Chyna. Houndoom uses Feint Attack for little damage. Chyna hits Low Sweep for an OHKO. Thank goodness Houndoom has no practically no defense or HP!
Looks like they aren't done as it's gonna be the pair of scientists with the Admin in a 2v1 scenario... until Calem shows up to lend me a hand! Two versus Two! Team Flare Celosia and Team Flare Bryony begin by sending out Manectric and Liepard! I send out Firefox and Calem sends out Meowstic! Meowstic uses Fake Out on Liepard and Firefox finishes it off with a Flamethrower. Manectric bites Firefox. Firefox hits back with a Flamethrower to Manectric, who bites Firefox again. Meowstic uses Light Screen to protect our Pokemon for a few turns. I switch out Firefox and bring in Green just to resist Electric types. Manectric bites Meowstic for Super-Effective while Meowstic takes out the Manectric with Psychic for the win.
After defeating them all it's revealed they were stealing ALL of the Poke Balls. WAIT WHAT? WHY would you need an entire FACTORY'S worth of Poke Balls!? Anyway, the President offers me a choice between the Master Ball and a Big Nugget. Of course I know the value of a Master Ball and pick that one up. However, he gives me both of them out of generosity. Thanks dude! On my way out, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno show up to take a look inside the Poke Ball Factory. We all agree to meet up elsewhere and separate for the moment.
I'm going to go save it and go to sleep, I'll check out the next route later =)

Onward to Route 15! Using the same party as last mentioned... it's a rather Autumnal-themed Route with leaves all over the place laying on the ground, the gold and orange covering everything. Plus, leaf piles. Let's begin!
Well, that escalated quickly. My first encounter is with Pokemon Ranger Silas! He sends out a Quagsire! Go Firefox! Alright, switching out immediately here, Green is the best one for the job as he comes in and gets Yawned. Popping the Mega Evolution, Green turns into Mega Venusaur and immediately trounces Quagsire through Petal Dance for the OHKO. Green falls asleep from the yawn though. He sends out Beartic as his second Pokemon, so I just put Firefox back out and OHKO with Flamethrower. I win, 'nuff said. Firefox becomes level 46. Masamune becomes level 45 and wants to learn Iron Head. Hell yes! Dropping Slash for Iron Head.
Running along, I pick up a Revive that I'll just sell later since I'm not allowed to use them. Coming through the tall grass gets me my first Pokemon of the route: Skorupi! Neat, that (eventual) Poison/Dark typing later will be handy if I can get it to evolve. I start with Firefox but switch to Sprite who eats a rather weak Poison Fang for super effective damage. You know, this is the first Bug-type I've seen this whole run. I use Mystical Leaf for pathetic damage with Skorupi using Toxic Spikes. Since Mystical Leaf did so little damage I decide to use Fairy Wind for a bit more damage. Skorupi uses Hone Claws, increasing it's Attack and Accuracy +1 stage. I hit with another Fairy Wind, it returns with a Venoshock for little damage. Sprite Fairy Winds one more time with Skorupi just using another round of Hone Claws. Now that he's weak enough... I hurl a Net Ball at it. 1. 2. 3. CLICK! Skorupi is now mine! I decide to name him Stinger. After all, he's a scorpion. So at last, I have a Bug/Poison type in my collection.
At this point I use a Chesto Berry on Green the Venusaur to wake him up. I run over a pile of leaves and pick up a Net Ball. Cool. Keeping the Dowsing Rods out I find an Antidote next to a tree which has a Leppa Berry laying there. I've got plenty of those but more is always good.
My second encounter is Pokemon Ranger Dean! He sends out Watchog and I toss out Firefox. I simply use Mystical Fire to nearly KO it. Watchog misses with Hyper Fang. A Psybeam KOs the little guy, leveling Sprite to 45. He sends out Seadra, and stupidly I don't switch because I hit the wrong button. No big deal, switching out to Green for the Water-type resistance. Seadra uses Agility, doubling it's speed with a +2 stage boost. Seadra uses Twister and only deals 10 points of damage. Green plows over it with a Petal Dance for the KO. Swoobat is his final Pokemon and I switch Green out for Frills. Swoobat is nothing at all worrisome. Swoobat uses Future Sight which does NOTHING this turn, while Frills just destroys it with Aurora Beam.
I loop back around and bump into Hex Maniac Luna. Her opener is a Chimecho. I send out Sprite. Sprite uses Wish, as I'm fairly certain I can't OHKO a Chimecho. Especially not one that uses Yawn. Sprite uses Fairy Wind to deal a little damage. Chimecho just uses Yawn again like a dolt. I take this turn to use a Chesto Berry to wake up Sprite. Chimecho uses Psywave which hit for around 30% of my health. Sprite uses another Fairy Wind bringing it to around half. Chimecho hits with a weak Double-Edge, taking it's own health in recoil. Not that it hit hard in the first place. Another Fairy Wind and another Psywave, leaving Sprite with 12 HP. Daaaaamn. I use a Hyper Potion to put Sprite's HP back to maximum. Chimecho uses Yawn again. This thing is annoying. Sprite uses another Fairy Wind to KO it before the Yawn sets in, giving me the victory.
Next up is Pokemon Ranger Keith. He sends out a Gabite. I toss out Sprite. This should be over quickly. Gabite uses Dig, going underground. I miss with Fairy Wind as a result. Instead of taking the damage, Sprite uses Protect to block the attack that turn, leaving Gabite to pop up dealing no damage. Gabite uses Slash, hitting for 14 damage. Sprite hits for over 50% of Gabite's HP with Fairy Wind. Gabite uses another Slash, hitting for quite a bit more that time. Fairy Wind goes off from Sprite, KOing Gabite. Green levels to 46.
I restore Sprite's HP with a Super Potion. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I found a wild Pawniard! UGH. I LOVE Bisharp. Dammit... I just take it out with a Low Sweep from Chyna.
The next opponent for me on this route is Pokemon Ranger Pedro. Remember, vote for Pedro. He sends out a Vileplume to take on Sprite. Yeeeeeeaaaaaahno. I'm switching. I decide to send in Frills. Vileplume uses Stun Spore, paralyzing Frills. Vileplume follows it up with Mega Drain, dealing decent damage. Frills gets the hailstorm going and Vileplume takes a bit of damage from it, then regains a small bit of health from Leftovers. I feed Frills a Cheri Berry to cure paralysis. Vileplume uses Mega Drain again, putting itself back to full health until the hail buffers it for some damage. Frills's Leftovers tick giving it HP. Frills uses Aurora Beam to nearly KO Vileplume, dropping it's attack -1 stage. Vileplume misses with Stun Spore. Frills regains Leftovers HP. Frills finishes off Vileplume with Thunderbolt. Frills levels to 46 and wishes to learn Encore. I'm not sure that would go well with what I want from Frills, so I skip out on it. Sprite levels to 46 and learns Moonblast. OH FUCK IT'S A FAIRY-TYPE ATTACK. Power 95 and a chance to drop Special Attack? YES PLEASE. I have Sprite forget Fairy Wind and learn Moonblast.
I pick up a Dire Hit from a Poke Ball and continue on my way, running into a double battle. Tag time! Mysterious Sisters Rune & Rime come at me with Drifblim and Floette. I send out my own Floette, Sprite, accompanied by Chyna the Machoke. Drifblim uses Shadow Ball on Sprite while Sprite uses Moonblast on the Floette. Chyna hits Drifblim for an OHKO using Payback. Chyna levels to 46. Firefox levels to 47 and wants to learn Will-o-Wisp. Very tempting, but I'm going to pass for now. If I want it later I'll get it through the guy who reteaches old moves or through the TM I have. The opposing Floette uses Grassy Terrain, healing everyone on the battlefield at once, but very slightly. Sprite uses Magical Leaf and hits Floette, followed by a Rock Tomb from Chyna, getting the KO. Masamune levels to 46.
A little ways out of the way over some rocks I find a Full Heal. I continue on where I was headed and get a Holo Cast call from Lysandre talking about Mega Evolutions. Stuff I kinda already figured out on my own. A wall over here has a crack in it, so switching Chyna's moves from having Rock Tomb to Rock Smash seems to solve things. Behind it is a Macho Brace.
Fairy Tale Girl Mahalyn bumps into me and wants to show me the "scary side" of Fairies. Be my guest. She sends out Dedenne. I send Chyna out. Considering it's Electric/Fairy, I switch for Green to double-resist as it hits with Volt Switch, scoring a critical hit and being force-switched for Aromatisse. I beef up Green into a Mega Venusaur and use Venoshock on the Aromatisse getting an OHKO. She wants to send Dedenne back in and I just keep Mega Green. Another Venoshock for the KO is all that I need.
I want to check out the building where I found that Macho Brace. Guarding the entrance is Hex Maniac Carrie. I sense a horror movie theme going here... she sends out Litwick. I send Sprite out. This isn't good. Fortunately it's just Litwick, but I don't actually have a solid counter to it. I switch to Chyna... except the Litwick just uses Memento to KO itself in exchange for dropping her attack and special attack -2 stages. Easily fixable by switching, which I'm doing because she's sending out Duosion. Masamune makes a great counter. Masamune uses Swords Dance while Duosion uses Pain Split. Doesn't do much. Masamune uses Shadow Sneak for an OHKO. Green levels to 47.
Inside the ruined house I find an X Defense using the Dowsing Rods. There are some stairs to go down. I use this opportunity to switch Chyna's Rock Smash back to Rock Tomb. Inside it is said to be the Lost Hotel. I may come back to this later, but not before a Pokemon encounter against Punk Guy Sid. He sends out a Scrafty. Sprite comes out. Yes, I have a liking for Sprite today =P Anyway, a Moonblast goes off for 4x damage to Scrafty. Sprite levels to 47. Chyna levels to 47. He sends out a Pawniard, which is 4x weak to Fighting... so, Chyna gets to come out for a quick fight as she Low Sweeps to KO it. The last one he has is Sharpedo. I send out Green as it's the most reliable counter against the Water/Dark type. I simply hit it with Petal Dance for the KO, since I know it's defenses are sad and pathetic. However, Green takes a little bit of damage from it's rough skin ability. Frills levels to 47.
Yeah, I'll come back to this place later.
I go South at the intersection with Routes 15 and 16 to see a boulder in the way that Chyna pushes. Up on some ruins using the Dowsing Rods I pick up a Max Revive that I'll never do anything with. I'll come back to Route 16 next time though. I'm tired and want to get some sleep, so I'll just head to Dendemille Town, use the Pokemon Center, and get some real life sleep.
...except Professor Sycamore and one of his lab assistants come up from behind and start talking. Dexio? Interesting name for the assistant. During this conversation they finally mention the Legendary Pokemon, Xerneas. The great stag on the front of the box. You know. That one. As they leave, Trevor comes up to me and wants his Pokedex evaluated by Professor Sycamore, who he JUST missed. Poor kid. While trying to find the Pokemon Center I find a Big Root for someone to hold. Doubt I'll use it though.
Found the Pokemon Center, see you guys next time!
