Because the initial values that correspond to your stats and equipment are generated when you start a New Game. Therefore, the values that this would have to edit are located in the emulator/console's RAM, which makes it a save editor by definition.
There is no possible way a language barrier could account for the difference between your understanding of a patcher and a save editor, taking into consideration that you programmed it, and the values being changed are in two entirely different locations.
The title is wrong, and misleading.

Well you don't have much in the way of credibility here, so based on the fact that I have explained why it's not a patcher, and you haven't explained why it is, you're full of shit.

I've tried to be civil with you, but I'm tired of your power hungry bullshit. You've threatened to leave these forums -- publicly, I might add -- about three or four times now. That's some serious attention whoring.
You had no interest whatsoever in Breath of Fire III, which is why I took the project over from you. Here is the entire transcript if anyone is interested.
You only wanted back in once you saw the attention Dragon Trial was getting. That's what you wanted: recognition. I didn't start (read: parse the hex before taking over the project) because I wanted recognition. I didn't want clout, power, leverage, as you did (you can see this when he tries to pressure Arch into hosting all of his tools so bad, kinda similar to Darthatron).
What I wanted was to make a hardtype hack of a really great game and further my own knowledge of programming by doing so, because it's something I'm really interested in (and my Major, to boot). You have consistently come into chat and tried to undermine me by saying shit like "you are hacker limited, I am unlimited" to the point that even Archael himself came into chat -- without anyone asking him to -- and told you to shut the fuck up.
Even after this, I tried to be civil. I tried to make amends with you, because I thought that the language barrier may have accounted for a misunderstanding between us. You told me you were kidding. I didn't believe it for a fucking second, but I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. I defended you at points against people ragging on you.
You then tried to take Emitai -- who has been very helpful, might I add; his insight has been valuable to Dragon Trial -- away from the project through underhanded means, knowing full well he was working on it with me.
And then there's the shoddy -- at best -- work you did while working with Emitai. You even went as far as to
That is not how you balance a game. You both work together and combine ideas and such. Look at Brave New World; Synchysi is the hacker, and BTB can only work with the editor, but they both share ideas, they come together and converse.
If you can't handle being called out on your bullshit and being asked to defend it, these forums are not the place for you. In the words of Oscar Wilde: "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go."
You are clearly the latter.
Goodbye.
Edit: And I'd like to point out that you said in the beginning that you could only edit enemies. I've learned -- with help -- how to edit far, far more than that.
So, as for that claim, those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

if Alucard wanted to be in the BOF3 project so bad, why did he show so little interest in it at the start?
I don't get it
He started taunting Advent after Dragon Trial got its own board, talk about petty

He didn't, he only wanted the recognition for it. That's why he tried to get everyone else to do the work for him when he was doing it.

[6:30:02 PM] Angel: Alucard before that thread and everything...I told him I wasn't doing Brigandine. He went on telling me to try and he really wants to see me become a modder one day. I told him no.
[6:30:19 PM] Angel: So then I'm in the chat and he enters it and calls me a back fighter.
[6:31:01 PM] Angel: Like what the fuck is a back fighter?
So basically, when Angel tells him she's not interested in making a Brigandine hack, he assumes she's doing it because I told her to, just to see him squirm. The only way he would possibly assume this is if that was somehow his goal to begin with, which is silly because Angel was never a part of Dragon Trial.
I can only assume that a "back fighter" is his term for someone who has my back.. which, again, is silly because that would neither help or hurt me in this instance.
This entire ordeal absolutely screams politics (I saw what he was doing immediately after I took over Dragon Trial, but I didn't show my hand until he made this bullshit thread), and these boards have got to be the worst place to play that game.
We just don't work like that here. If you're right, you're right. If you're wrong, you're wrong. It really is that simple. I have gotten called out several times I've been wrong here by the very same people who have defended me in this thread and in others.
The whole thing is stupid, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't have me laughing because of how stupid it was.
