Crono, Frog, and Marle - all hasted - just can't seem to waste this guy before the attack (that increases its attack power) either wastes my party, or drops them to 30 HP only to be wasted by another element.
Because Mammon Machine attacks with four elements, it would be a roll of the dice to equip any three different elemental absorption armors on my characters.
I don't hit with physical attacks at all.
Can someone please give me a nudge in the right direction?
Go figure... I wasted Giga Mutant on my third try... Mammon Machine is giving me more headaches for some reason.
Thanks!
Mammon Machine advice?

I think I did nothing but Leap Slash with Frog and healing with others (Ayla and Robo for me). If I remember correctly, physical attacks with the Masamune reduce the Mammon Machine's magic power.

Thank you!!!!!! That was the trick.
At first, I alternated magic dual/triple-techs (increases MM's attack) and physical dual-techs (increase MM's def), but that didn't work.
Too many physical dual techs left me in the same pickle as fighting Mother Brain without haste - MM had ridiculous defense and there was nothing I could do to lower it. Reset.
Using magical techs dealt mad damage, but over time it increased the attack power to the point where I couldn't survive without revival/elemental absorption armor (the latter being a 1/4 gamble of survival for one party member).
I just wasn't quick enough and just wasn't dealing damage.
Physical dual techs (X-strike) let the character whose command was inputted heal - Frog or Crono - because of the Masamune, BUT the dual tech still raised MM's defense.
Straight single physical attacks with the Masamune - leap slash - both heal Frog and DON'T boost MM's defense.
Ergo, MM can only be destroyed with Masamune.
I really should have looked to canon for guidance on that one
Thanks again!

"only" is a bit of a strong statement, Chrono might take offense to that
Spoiler
counter helps a lot since it DOESN'T trigger his increases. specifically such "reactions" only happen as ... well... reactions to attacks. countering doesn't trigger such mechanics ever.
after that each reaction is only on a "per attack" basis, so one dual tech gives him the same boost as a single tech - avoid spamming weak attacks to such bosses

Next time I'll let Frog do the slashing but give my other heavy hitters Frenzy Bands!
Thanks for the video!
