It's time to start a challenge which I'd been hoping to try for around a year now. I want to do an LLG of this game with my eyes closed. However, while at the time I thought of this I had no reason to do anything else, I now had a choice to make: Do I want to play this as a blindfolded LLG in vanilla, or play a blindfolded normal run of BNW? The former would probably be harder, but the latter is better balanced and more fun (Blindfolded BNW LLG...out of the question thanks).

My answer...is yes.

I'm just going to play both games in parallel. This will cut down on how much routing that I need to remember in each segment, as I can just use the same route plan for both games, hopefully. Here's the first episode of my vanilla LLG:

Haha, a semi-transparent blindfold would be about as useful as an inflatable dartboard.

Actually, I just threw a large blanket over myself. I would have just closed my eyes, but I can still see the difference in light when menus are opening or screens are transitioning, which is information I shouldn't have.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention to read the description for the first video, and always leave annotations on to get the full story.

Thanks Advent! You've inspired me to do this without the use of any Estus Flasks, Bonfires, or Souls! All the other restrictions sound too easy for my tastes. :kappa:

PS: I have no clue what an Estus Flask is...

If you guys really want it, maybe I can do commentary? It's not really something I'm good at though, I warn you. I'm not really a fan of Facecam, and it's not really applicable in this case anyways, because all you'll see is whatever's between my eyes and the computer screen. If you really want it I could try though maybe getting a smaller blindfold so you can see some of my face...

Or are you joking? It's difficult to tell.

All of the blindfolded runs I've seen tend to be pretty amusing with face cams.

At the very least, commentary would be funny. With neither, it's kinda just like watching someone play the game poorly. :lol:

Alright then, starting at segment four I'll give you some commentary. The other segments have been backlogged already though, and I don't particularly want to redo them. I still think Facecam would be more trouble for me than it's worth though. Thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately, while I made a version where I edited out the ZSNES recording stuff at the beginning, I accidentally uploaded the wrong file.

Compared to the BNW version of this segment, the Whelk fight is more interesting but I don't fight any random encounters at the end. I'd watch this one and switch over after the Whelk fight if you were planning to watch the entirety of this.

Segment 3 - Three's a Crowd

This was significantly harder than the BNW version of this part. I had to deal with some party switching, some luck with Blizzard, and the Marshall battle relied on Mog's Dance a bit. Overall, though, it still wasn't too hard (from what I've done so far, the hardest part has been BNW Mt. Kolts, and that was much harder than this part).

This is fairly similar to the BNW version (the only difference really is that I buy different stuff, although I make a small mistake somewhere). However, I threw in some bloopers at the end of this video.

If you're just here for the fight, the Magitek Armor fight is at 8:00.

If you're just here to watch me mess up, that occurs at 2:20.

This segment is about equally interesting as BNW. I'd recommend watching just one. Unless you want to see the mistake/recovery here.
