Very interesting point of view. I've yet to replay FFXII (still waiting for an eventual HD rerelease, which will prolly never happen), but when it does, I'll be sure to replay WOTL to try to connect everything (and then replay WOTL again).

Man, you'd be amazed how hard some people defend the WOTL translation as being a form of English that was actually used at a point in history.
Not when you've experienced it first hand. Even when you're right, someone can still beat you over the head with ignorance if they're experienced enough.

I believe the FFXII HD remake is actually in progress, but in fairness, it could have been a rumor. I very much hope they include the International Zodiac System. I'd be legitimately pissed off if they didn't.
Edit: can't find anything to substantiate, disregard.

PSX version is better because it has the latest version of 1.3. That's pretty much how narrow I am. x]
If we get a same-same version of WOTL, I'll be sure to try it out. Of course, I'm not saying that I can't play any other mod, just no WOTL mod have been of interest to me so far (sorry, Dr. B). The weird retranslation doesn't make things better though, even if it isn't enough for me to avoid it completely. I might try out Tides of Fate, depending on how it ends up. Sadly, I'm not spending much time to support the project, though.
PSX version is also better because it got Jot5. x]
Basically, I have no interest in vanilla, so I don't give much of a damn, Dr. Bloetho.

I'm not far off from you, Kaffe. I haven't touched vanilla in years and only once since finding 1.3. There is nothing left for me there, which is why I see so much potential in WOTL. Vanilla has problems that are too much to ignore, but all of those problems minus the sound are readily fixable now. Definitely can't blame you for the PSX vs WOTL 1.3 thing, either. There are some things you just can't port over, so over time I just ended up throwing in enough toys to sort of compensate for the lack of ASM hacks. Eventually, it wasn't even 1.3 anymore and more than a little experimental.
So I don't really give a crap if people play my mod, what I really want to see though, is more legitmate hackers working on a WOTL base instead. This will open up worlds for people and give me more toys to add to my personal frankenstein hack, because as great and polished as psxs 1.3 is (seriously, love love love CT-save, I was so wrong about that one), I find myself just missing the extra features WOTL is capable of offering.
