This patch is a difficulty and re-balance modification for the PS2 NTSC-U version of Xenosaga Episode II.
Enemy HP, STR, and EATK have been increased in the normal difficulty version, and they have been increased further in the hard difficulty version. Re-balanced Equip Abilities, E.S. Accessories, Ether Abilities, Double Ethers, Dual Techs, Single Techs, and Special Attacks. Some enemy experience, class points, skill points, and drops have been altered.

Fiber Coat - +4 Vit and Edef
Fiber Hat - +4 Dex and Eva
STR and EATK+6 - +6 Str or Eatk
Gorgon Coat - +6 Vit and Edef
Gorgon Hat - +1 Agl
Masamune - +10 Str, attack up when an ally is KOed
Excalibur - +10 Eatk, defense up when an ally is KOed
Prism Coat - +10 Vit and Edef, all damage reduced by 10%

Playing through this now (finally), the beginning is definitely a challenge with the hard hitting enemies and very little revival ability. My one suggestion so far would be to change the beginning bosses to always drop their rare item, since you don't have access to Psycho Pockets and it's no fun replaying the Pilum/Scutum boss fight over and over for a 20% drop.

Is there a way to check if the patch applied correctly? I played up through Disc 1 and it still seems too easy
