I don't know where to find seed/fertilizer in version 8 (8.0 I think?) I've killed anti shyaway about 10 times now. Am I unlucky, or does he only drop stuff after beating Smithy?
Or am I not even looking in the right place for the seed/fertilizer?
Of course on the 11th run he drops fertilizer. Where would I find the seed though?

Anti-Shy Away (Bean Valley) = 25% chance for fertilizer
Shy Away (Land's End) = 5% chance for seed
Shy Away (Land's End) = 5% chance for seed

For some reason, with seed and fertilizer in my inventory, I talk to the guy in Rose Town and he takes the seed and then doesn't take the fertilizer. Then when I talk to him he says he's looking for seed and fertilizer? Did I find a bug?

That's odd. I've never heard of something like that. Make sure you're using SNES9x 1.53 instead of ZSNES. Most ZSNES users find this random types of bugs. Otherwise try restarting the ROM:

Just tested it again, loading from a saved game, not a save state. Still the same error. Does it get upset because I have two fertilizers in my inventory when in vanilla you should only ever have one?

Solved: If you have more than 1 fertilizer, the man in rosetown won't notice either one and will ask for the seed again. Odd little bug. Using snes9x btw

Ah, you're right. It checks to see if you have exactly one fertilizer.
Darkkefka, the event in question is #2392. Just change it to check if memory $7000 is "!= 0" instead of "= 1" for both the Seed and Fertilizer.

In vanilla, it was impossible to get more than one Seed or Fertilizer. So yes and no.
