Insane Difficulty: Newbie Looking For Help, 1.3 Patch Issue. - Insane Difficulty

Hi all, was looking for a little help, as i've turned my computer into an iso to bin to rar to pfft! mess lol.

I currently tried the 1.3 Easy Type and while i 'cough' enjoy the challenge, i think i'd rather play the (actual) easier type. I downloaded the patch and applied it to my .bin file, but now that file won't run. (psx1.13)

I currently have the normal .ISO of the game from the orginal CD

I have 1.3 Easy Type .bin

PFF-O-Matic and the associated pff file to patch with.

I read and followed the previous post about this but was unsucessful.

I may have over complicated things, but im currently at the point where i patched the orginal .ISO of the game (pffomatic said it worked) and now am trying to get the .ISO back to a form that pSX 1.13 will use it

Update: Tried using psxe and running the .ISO and just got a black blank screen.

I'm assuming i did it correctly, i am supposed to apply the patch pff file to an orginal FFT .iso correct? not to v1.3?

Get a fresh iso and apply the patch to it.

Also, wrong forum; which 1.3 are you trying to play? There's only one easy type for 1.3, which leads me to believe you're talking about War of the Lions.

You patch the original ISO with the PPF, that's it.

BTW the latest 1.3 Content patch (easytype) is here, and it's not a .bin, it's a .ppf.

Sorry, i thought this was the help forum. I meant i have the FFT v1.3 easy type from emuparadise which is a .bin (for psx1.13) hence the difficulty and wanting the content version instead

Starting from scratch...

patching orginal .iso of FFT from CD with o-matic pff patch..

not that you need an update

No, i was patching a normal version regular vanilla of FFT...still not working =/

When i loaded into psx1.13 i get iso9660 incorrect header on the dosbox and SONY turns blue and just hangs.
When i try in psxe it just goes black...forever until i ctrl-alt-delete.

That is your problem. Get a fresh ISO of regular Final Fantasy Tactics, and apply the patch to it. What you're doing right now is patching over a patched version, which will always cause you no end of bugs.

My appologies for the confusion, I just mentioned i had played the 1.3 easy type and though i love the changes just would like the difficulty reduced a smidge...was getting housed in the desert by the mino / bomb guys to no end.

Holy smokes finally got it....some reason i had to turn it into a .rar - extract it, patch it, then stuff the patched .bin (yes i know wtf .bin?) and the .cue into psx1.13 and it worked!

Your problem might be the emulator, and you didn't read the 1.3 Guide before posting

Edit: And yeah.. why are you using PSX1.13? ePSXe is the most stable emulator out there to my knowledge.
