Lets start by saying I really enjoy this mod, it really changes the meta and gives more depth to the gameplay.
But I've come across something I'm not sure is implemented on purpose or not, you see, right now I'm fighting Jenova.Death and when it uses magical attacks such as "red light" I seem to take more dmg than what displayed on-screen. Say I have 1200hp with Mg-Barrier on, and dmg taken from "red light" is about 350hp, it still results in instadeath on that character.
This also happens with other types of MgDef-strats, such as "Elemental+Fire" on armor or even armor that's supposed to halven dmg from that particular element.
Jenova.Life had the same problem, altough I didnt have "Barrier" materia lvl'ed up.
Am I missing something or is it a bug?

Just a guess, but it might kill you outright and have nothing to do with damage displayed. If something has a death proc attached to it, that is.
