I would go for a service as it is not loading your servers.

I would think that one of the requirements for a permanent change would be that it is possible to be used with the insanedifficulty.com credentials, so you get automatically logged in with your user name and such by already being logged in here, like it is today. If this is the case, then I agree. It's much better if you need to be a user on ID to be able to enjoy the ID chat, and that you are under your usual profile name. How to implement another chat into the site is something I don't know anything about right off the bat, but I guess it depends on what the site itself is built on (it is of course always doable, but depending on the platform it might need more, less or an excessive amount of coding to make it work).

I don't even know what platform this site is run on, to be honest.
