Strategic points:
- Having 1599 HP is strictly and significantly better.
- All party members should have auto-buff (e.g. Galaxy Shell, Shadow Ring, Iron Duke, Soul Dew)
- The fastest character should have as much defense as possible (and have auto-buff).
- All characters need at least 239 defense.
- The only items needed in the first two stages are Celebi and a few Life Shrooms.
- Use Peach's Group Hug to nullify your invincibility. This will prevent Dispel from being used as a counter.
- Always make the fastest member of your party invincible on the turn Xion "heals".
- In the third stage, the attack pattern is "hUs666s6hU6s666shU66s666", where "h" is "heal/charge", "U" is "ultimate", "s" is "super", and "6" is the normal 6-attack. This pattern will start at one of the h's depending on when the third stage is entered, and repeats until the battle ends. Keeping track of the next attack is very important.
- Each stage has 10 lives, for a total of 900,000 HP. The third stage includes healing a life every "heal", however, meaning over a million damage is required to win.
- It is possible to fall back into the second stage due to "heal". This means the first time you enter the third stage, you'll immediately fall back into the second stage.
- Attacking Xion results in a counter approximately 50% of the time. This results is one of two attacks with similar timing as long or a single-target Dispel on a random party member if any party member is invincible.
Technical points:
- Block Xion's attacks using rhythm, not reaction.
- The first stage uses 3 fast attacks "3".
- The second stage uses 3 fast attacks followed by a 4th attack shortly after "3 + 1".
- The third stage adds a 5th and 6th attack with similar delays "3 + 1 + 1 + 1".
- Getting countered adds an additional attack and delay at the beginning. In the third stage, this is "1 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1".
- If the close range attack hits someone that's invincible and it isn't guarded, the next attack will happen much faster than normal.
- Taking a life will cause the attack pattern/counter to be delayed by one second.

I originally used Mallow and the Iron Duke, but his base defense is too low
