Independent of Advent's project, BTB and I have been developing a character planner for BNW with the idea that it's widely useable and accessible to anyone. I started it as a method of simply tracking Esper stat growths as an addition to the printme file, but it has since grown into a standalone file that includes equipment and weapons.

Update 10/14/2014: A 'Final' public version of the planner is released. The public version has none of the hidden items. There will be another version bundled with the Unlockme that includes the hidden items.

Update 10/7/2014: A more finalized release is linked below. I have bumped the version number up to 2.0 to avoid any confusion with BNW's own version. The data has been completely brought up to date to be in line with changes to 1.5. Let me know if there are any bugs or issues.

Currently it does not calculate damage or evasion and it probably never will calculate damage. I'll let the game do that for you. I'd like to think I've fixed the majority of the errors in the tables and bugs. Probably the only thing I have left to do is clean up the item descriptions a little bit, but it may not really be necessary. I'm currently leaving on the data sheets unhidden in case there are other excel gurus that want to take a look.

Please let me know if there are any compatibility issues with Libre Office or Open Office as we were running into some data validation issues. When I get home I'll upload a .ods, but for now it's in .xlsx.

Works fine on Open Office for me. Definitely very neat. (And all ready playing around with a Terra that gets 10 Unicorn and 10 Carbunkl). : )

Edit: Gogo, even though he is listed as having 30 speed under the Char_Data sheet, starts with 36 speed on the calculator.

Fixed that. Still had 1.4's numbers in there.

1.3 released and the link is updated. BTB found and fixed a number of missing equipment and table errors. Still sorting conditional formatting errors but the planner is more than useable right now. Leaving all the hidden stuff unhidden for the time being until we're done with it.

I think most of the formatting errors are due to converting between excel and OO/Libre office. Let me know if y'all run into any issues.

Yours doesn't seem to let gear be selected (in Excel 2013), BTB. Not sure what changed, it works in the link up top.

This is a lot better than mine, although it only allows for one character at a time. Much better equipment filtering.

The one in the OP is actually a proper excel file. The data validation breaks when you save it with open office or libre office and then try to open it again in excel, which is what BTB's file is. I'll fix it tomorrow when I have access to a computer with excel. It works fine when opening it in OO/Libre if it was originally an excel file.

I'll look into adding support for multiple characters. I was considering that earlier anyway.

No worries. I'm actually looking at the file I uploaded in Excel right now (since I'm at work), and it works just fine with no conversion issues. I have no idea what the problems that some people are seeing might be.

In any case, I'll be sending you another update later because seeing it in Excel made me realize that I still need to minimize the zeros that appear in the equipment tables there (but not in OO) and make a few other visual tweaks. Also, I intend to nerf the Magic Bone a little bit, so there'll be that one equipment change, as well.

For all intents and purposes, though, this is the final planner that I intend to include in the Unlockme of the mod itself. That's my basic idea, anyhow - I won't object to it being posted here, but I'd like to make it part of the official "package", so to speak. Does anyone have any thoughts/input on that?

Personally think it's a good idea to put it into the Unlockme. Something like this is definitely something that is of better service to people who have played the game at least once, and it helps the replay value by helping people better figure out what they can and can't do with builds and equipment set-ups and whatnot.
