Soon there will be an update about my Lufia patches - including Kureji Lufia.
However, as there's quite some stuff which is somewhat error-prone, I need some betatesters in order to not only play, but also to tear the game apart.
There are quite a lot changes including actually fixing the Ancient Cave so that it now works the way it's intended. (Previously you couldn't get helmets, shields, rings and jewels properly in the lower basements.)
Anyone interested?
Betatesters needed

I can try. I've never been a beta tester before so I don't know how good I would be, but I can definitely try. You can think of me as a last resort in case not enough people with beta testing experience come forward if it bothers you that I have none.

What a coindicidence, just today a new version got ready:

You can choose which version you want to play: Kureji Lufia, normal difficulty Frue Lufia or Spekkio Lufia which is in-between difficulty-wise. Just don't play Kureji Lufia Fruely Hardcore as it would drag out testing at the end just too much. If you don't play Kureji, I'd like you to play Spekkio as it also has some stuff the normal version doesn't have.
So can you do a full playthrough including the Ancient Cave?
And which emulator are you using? I'd prefer Snes9x so that I can check savestates in case something happens. I'm using version 1.51.
Important: If something goes wrong, immediately make a savestate!

I'm using v1.53. So taking a savestate if something goes wrong will be similar to the bug/crash reports of commercial betas? I only have prior experience with kureji, but depending on what changes have been made I might opt for spekkio since in the original version of kureji a handful of the later bosses became too tedious after getting to a point where their stats weren't too significant a danger (for me the most infamous example is the gargoyles)

Didn't play any commercial beta yet, but whereas for me it's more to see and check the problem by myself, the person whom I'm working with actually can extract some more data from it.
About known potential bugs, maybe keep this in mind:
Well, whereas this totally seems to be an emulator issue, I guess due to a missing savestate there's just no way to be completely sure - that is unless it happens again.

When playing North Labyrinth, sound channels started dropping (especially when using hook). Eventually sound slowed down and died, engine locked up and froze. Reset fixed.

They were retroarch-bsnes-performance savestates. Didn't think they were useful and deleted them after retry - that was a mistake.
Switched to retroarch-bsnes-balanced and played the game through largely. No problems this time. Checked over most asm patches (old + new) but nothing suspicious.
I'm not sure about sound glitch. Only special thing was intentionally falling down bottomless pits using hook but it doesn't trigger anything this time around. Could be an emulator thing - performance audio engine does have problems with some games, not in balanced.
