Just saying hello

Hey there,
Saw this thread and figured might be an idea to say hello to the folks here. In terms of modding I work with FF7 mostly; made a large-scale one that's ongoing called New Threat (better name still pending) along with a bunch of smaller utility ones like removing the 'O' mouths from NPCs, Lv.1/No EXP patches, play as Zack, and other wee things. I generally make use of the tools on Qhimm, which is quite focused on that particular game.
I got directed here through Lockirby2 and that FF6 contest run they're doing. But looks like an interesting site; I've not got a hard-difficulty mod to contribute just yet (assuming that's the theme) but I've got notes stashed away for one that might turn into a proper project one day. See you on the threads!

Howdy and welcome, blue cactuar.
Yeah, most of us are difficulty freaks, but that doesn't mean we don't enjoy a good rebalance mod like Brave New World or others. Share that FFVII project with us sometime, I'm sure some of us (including me) will play it and give you feedback.

Hi Sega Chief! I've been thinking that you'd fit in well around this site. We've been running short on our Grenade supply, and I figure that you know all the best deals for those.
Actually, not quite every mod on here is a difficulty mod. Most of them are explicitly difficulty mods, but some are good rebalances (although I'd be willing to bet that every mod on here is still a markup from the corresponding vanilla game), with Final Fantasy VI Brave New World probably being the best example of this.
I've been looking into New Threat for a while. I was figuring it would be getting a playthrough right after Hart's Mega Man X hard type mod.

Cheers, fellas. Extra feedback is always handy, so if that's the case I'll maybe make a thread for New Threat on here soon for people to try out. I reckon a community used to hardcore difficulty would tear through it, but there's a fight or three in there that could maybe give a veteran a run for their money. Or maybe I'll resurrect the Grenade mod instead and sort out any intolerable Grenade shortages that might be about
I like these emoticons by the way, pretty nifty.

Welcome to the site.
Also, no matter what you REALLY think of MMX:HT, just tell Hart it isn't hard enough and move along. Trolling Hart is the cool thing to do here

Well, it really could be more difficult. Maybe all enemies should be immune to Buster shots. Buster too OP.

I think they might've been in XIII but since I'd rather eat my own shit than go anywhere near the XIII series, I can't exactly confirm it.
(in times of frugality, I often have. )
