Shadow is my MVP. His damage and utility are unparalleled. An absolute blast.

And yet you named yourself after Cyan.

My Cyan is a wrecking machine. His vigor is off the charts. He can Empowerer for self healing, Dragon from the back row, Eclipse or Tempest when needed and of course the all mighty - CLEAVE.
God, I love this Sakaguchi looking bastard.

I just gave this blast to BTB, but I thought y'all might like my notes. I just finished a run with (and missed the 1.8 cutoff by a week or two). Here's my notes:
1) Locke: i dug the versatility and the speed. He hit pretty hard, especially when hasted/berserked
2) Shadow: the speed and the Haste-X by itself were pretty key. The fact that he hit hard, could hit for elements and ALSO had float just made everything cherry.
3) Terra, obviously. The best boss killer, as to be expected. Regen-X was dope and pretty heavily used. Late game I didn't use Morph too much
4) Setzer: He wasn't much fun exactly, but he was necessary as a white mage. Slots being timed better was nice. I could do the blackjack pretty regularly. Never once used Fixed Dice since in boss fights, he was locked into re-rise and healing.
5) Sabin: all around good. Useful in just about every situation. He was a little fragile, but I might not have figured out equips. Not my strong suit
6) Celes: Runic got less useful late game as every enemy did hit-alls and Blue Magic. But until end-game, she was dope. Her having Merton as her ultimate was disappointing.
7) Relm: Again, speedy and versatile. I wish she had a couple more spells. Sketch was nice, though and consistently did good damage. A bit too fragile, but she could hit hard with her top tier spells.
8 ) Cyan: He hit hard and could nicely heal from time to time. His swd tech got useless at the end. I never did find anyone who died to his level 8. But regardless, he gets the most improved.
9) Strago: X-Magic was tight, but Dark didn't seem quite versatile enough for a final attack. Ice 2 wound up being what I used the most.
10) Mog: Dance was much improved, though I often just prayed for Sun Bath. Sometimes I'd use Water Rondo for crowd control. As a support, I dug him a lot. He just didn't have enough oomph by the end
11) Gau: I didn't find much useful in his Rages. But to be honest, I probably didn't try as much as I could have. Homeboy was fragile. Haste-X and Float saved him from being last.
12) Edgar: End game I found him useless. He was handy early on in his own way, but I always liked someone a little more. His Tools, minus Auto-crossbow, felt a bit too nerfed.
13) Umaro: obviously he's terrible. In a weird change, the one place he had use in vanilla (Fanatics' Tower), he had none anymore. Which was sad
**) Gogo: I never actually got around to using him. Womp womp.

Interesting, I just re-voted Edgar for MVP.
Was Sabin for a while. I've danced around a bit. But my recent discovery that, "Yes, in fact, Elemental Jumping does, in fact, work on the Floating Continent, and always has," and the new auto-Haste gave my incentive to switch back my vote to vig Edgar. mag Edgar is also strong, whereas I think most other characters only that's exceptionally strong. He's also good all game long, like Sabin.
Runner-ups would be vig Sabin, mag Celes, stam Cyan, mag Setzer, and in the WoR, mag Strago & mag Relm. Locke doesn't get a vote b/c I don't count WoB Healing Shiv as part of his "character." (I'm biased against the Shiv, despite abusing it). Haven't used spd Gau enough.
