Instructions

1. Open A - Patch
2. Select "Apply an APS patch to a file."
3. Under "Original File," and select your ROM.
4. Under "Patch," Select "FFTA X" Patch I provided above.
5. Hit "run"

Congratulations! And enjoy.

Okay, I have the mod and the emulator, but when I select the file it says: "There is no default application specified to open the document 'ffta x fix101.aps' "

Did you double click the file or something? Windows won't know what program will open that file if it is double clicked.

You need to get a ROM and A-Ptch. A-ptch can be found on the d/l (tools) at the top of the page.

Once you have aptch, you have to follow the instructions Archael gave in the forum.

Does it only work on Windows? I've tried using WineBottler to instal A-Patch, but that's not working either.

APatch is an .exe, so you will need a Windows environment to run it

Running it directly in Wine works, I just tried it

(Wine 1.1.44)

Are you on linux or mac?

On linux, get wine tricks. Kresna is a MASTER. If he is on, he could easily help you.

There is a few checks you need to check mark on wine tricks, unfortunately/ fortunately I am also a linux user.

Worst case scenario: I can code a patch applier in C, and compile it with something supported by your strange OSsss. Or just upload the patched ROM.

In America it's illegal to upload the ROM. In Australia it's different I think.

Also, I do agree. These OS's are rather strange.

The Good: Since I have a new PC laptop, I was able to download A-Patch, FFTA:X.

The Bad: For some reason, the patch still wont, well, patch. Do I have to erase my save files, or get a new Rom?

The Beautiful: FFTA: AIO is freaking awesome! I can implement almost all of my ideas for stat growths and equipment. All I need to do now is learn how to Hex the game to add and change ability sets.

You need to get rid of your saves. Characters are generated when the game loads, before the title screen.

Ill try to get on It. I did math for 10 hours today, tommorow = world civilizations + Biology, next day = spanish. After that, expect tutorial.

Does the home screen change at all like does it say "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance X" or does it stay normal? I want to know if I patched it right.

Home screen is completely the same as the original. Your generic soldier will be yellow instead of blue (along with the rest of the clan).

The new version of ffta x will have the homescreen edited.

Could you show an example of this please? My solider looks kind of blue, and I want to see what you mean, it said it patched successful, but it doesn't feel any different.
