So, as some of you probably know by now from my other topic, I've decided to give Unleashed a whirl. I'll be doing a LP of it (whether or not I finish it is something else entirely) and posting the videos here (in spoilers because that shit lags people).

Number one!

I'm aware of the static, and it's something that will hopefully be fixed by my third video, as the second is already recorded, rendered, and uploading as we speak. I wear my headset with the mic around my neck, as it's not nearly as comfortable as my Audio-Technica headphones, and I'm thinking I had the mic a little too close to my mouth.

Anywho, enjoy! Video 2 will be up within a few hours!

My voice is not the issue, it's the static caused by my mic being directly in the path of my breath. :okay:

Oh you will when you get to Lani, I played in Active on the earlier versions, and... What the fuck. That's all I have to say.

I still think that thief speed should cost MP though. Seems weird that Zidane basically gets Hastaga for free while Eiko's costs MP...?

I'm actually restarting my game because I burned through all my potions and didn't have enough to do the Cage Monster fight. :lol:

I would assume that Eiko's lasts longer, but I have no way of confirming that as of yet.

The third video is being recorded right now (well, okay, not right now, but I'm in the process of getting back to Evil Forest) so it'll be up sometime today.

Yeah, Lani and Beatrix have crazy speed. The mod was designed to be played with 'Wait' ATB (afaik), so... yeah, enough pain as it is.

Most bosses have instant ATB after you get to..late disc 2? Basically they will get a turn as soon as their animation finishes. Good thing attack animations are long in this game.

Thief's Speed is just useful for early game healing (combine it with Rei's Wind). Haste in general is really shitty in FF9 unless paired with Regen.

As for your suggestion Advent, no, Eiko's haste doesn't last any longer than Zidane's thief speed. Haste is haste, and the duration of status effects are dependent on the target's spirit not the actual caster's spirit. That's why I found the setup so odd. But yes, Haste makes regen tick faster, so that IS something to use it for. Healing. that's about its only use.

While I'm on the subject, of things to take note of, remember where the coins are as well, you'll get all sorts of free goodies, and getting the Blood Sword when you get to Treno the first time can make events far easier later on.

Lots of shenanigans in this one. This is my first video with any kind of extensive editing, and it's the first one with an intro! Lemme know what you guys think. :gusta:

Personally, I'm really proud of it, considering it's the only video editing I've really done outside of Windows Movie Maker. I cut out the middle part of the Bahamut scene at the exact frame where it changes the camera angle, so it looks legit. :gusta:

Edit: Yes, I am aware of audio level issues. This isn't necessarily the audio level at fault, but rather my mic setup.

How much premature help do you want? Because there are a couple things I want to warn you about. One of these in the hardest thing I have ever done in a mod on this site.

Well.. if I'm gonna outright miss something (I doubt it; I've gotten everything I can to this point) or have missed something, lemme know.

1st room : you miss 2 items.
I don't know if you got them back at 2nd play, but you can't say you've gotten everything so far. Trust us if we tell you there's a lot more (some of them being mini-games, you know that, but that's not all).

You're doing pretty well so far, going on in the fights, though. But I think you'll have quiet hard times.

I mean, I've finished Final Fantasy Tactics only once and I'm sure I would be struggling if I tried the hard mods. Unleashed is a hard mode equally.

Uhh... In my new game, yes I did get everything, and even followed a guide to make sure. :poker:

Mini-games aside, of course.

First room I got both items, and every single item possible, jump rope and Tetra Master (as in, playing Alleyway Jack) aside. I didn't do it on camera, because everyone has seen that shit already. :poker:

I'm sure I will. That's the point. Though I'd contend that from past experiences, LandonRay's hacks are generally harder than most.

Fuck it, I'm just going to tell you, because I don't want to see you get stuck.

The parts where beatrix is on your team are incredible spikes in difficulty. Get the blood sword and train Steiner up to like 17 in the treno tunnels, and make sure you have thunder resistant gear and insomniac on Freya.

I never "legitimately" got past the Freya/Beatrix part, I used save states between every battle. But that is because I was on the verge of giving up with the game completely at that point. It wasn't easy, even with that.
