Everyone is invited to brainstorm the concept or even suggest chips for the folders listed.
These are the Extra Folders in the game, and the concept I'm aiming for each of them:
[Link to the Extra Folders: (CLICK here!!)]
- ExtraFolder - The first Extra Folder you get. Weak in power, but with only 5 codes, and filled with * wildcards, it's a dependable folder that can get you out of trouble. LifeSword is thrown in there for what it is, an early ace under the sleeve.
- PreliminaryFolder - You are set with this Folder for the preliminaries. It has 5 codes as well, but chips that aren't as popular, and little to no * wildcards, making the player think outside of the box and depend on his abilities to improvise. GelRain and H-Burst could turn the tide of a battle if you care to wait for them.
- HadesFolder - The folder you get for the HadesComp segment, and the battle against MetalMan in the N1. This folder is all about raw damage (it has the most potential damage without even counting the Program Advances), but it's filled with codes (8 in total). Poor fluidity, but it can pack a punch. Make good use of each single chip, and you'll be dealing equal or more damage than with other folders.
- N1-FolderA - One of the folders you can choose for your battle against GutsMan. This is the one you have to make a Quiz for. FolderA resembles Custom Style, having a very poor damage potential, because it relies on both its PAs, and its fluidity (only 2 codes and lots of * wildcards).
- N1-FolderB - One of the folders you can choose for your battle against GutsMan. FolderB resembles both Shield and Shadow Style, with many defensive chips and some strong individual Recovers. Also, it has a huge potential for a quick turnaround, with the almighty Program Advance EverCurse. If your playstyle is about enduring and counter attacking, this is your folder.
- N1-FolderC - One of the folders you can choose for your battle against GutsMan. FolderC resembles GutsStyle, with chips used to control the battlefield around the player. RockArm, BigWave, Knight, Geddon, Shake, all of those are intended to be used as a mean to control the battle, and they succeed at it. With its fluidity and its 2 powerful PAs, this is one of the Folders with the most potential, but it's hard to master.
- N1-FolderD - One of the folders you can choose for your battle against GutsMan. FolderD resembles Team Style. This folder is a very special one, because it has no less than 12 MegaChips, 10 of them being Navi chips. As you might know, the default number of MegaChips is 5 in a folder, so before you choose this folder, be sure to have selected your previous extra folder, and only then make the switch, to have this folder preselected, effectively hacking the Battle Network rules. As broken as this concept sounds, it is far from it, because it suffers from the same problem as the Hades Folder: poor fluidity. But another cool thing about Mega Chips is that they dim the screen, so you only need to target them for a single instant. If you're one of those who prefer to tank the battle until you can hit the "Win" button, this is your folder.
- FamousFoldr - Mr. Famous is all about teaching their students, and so he prepared this folder that can be used a thousand times, and only then you might being to understand its true potential. Fluidity is a weird case here, because while there's many * wildcard chips, half of them are useless unless you pack them into the powerful MasterStyle PA. Asides from that, he's added two more PAs, each used in its own way, and he's also added powerful chips that can't be simply "used", but have to be planned. Good PAs, good chips, decent fluidity, but still hard to use. A misterious folder that only a few will dare to master and succeed at it.
- ApprenticeFolder - Swords. Did someone say swords? Yes, swords. Who as a BN fan hasn't ever tried a swords based folder? This folder is difficult to use, because of the lack of range of the swords, but it has an amazing potential, with the most amount of PAs out there. Z-Step1, Z-Step2, ElemSword, EvilCut all thrown in there, but the gimmick is that you only get PanelGrabs to use them. However, one of the beauty about sword based PAs is that their single chips are as good as the PA itself, so it has tons of fluidity. This one is one of the hardest to master as well.
Note: The Damage estimated for each folder is not the *maximum* damage it can do. It doesn't consider Program Advances, and whenever there's a chip that does multiple hits, I didn't consider that every hit connected. So take the number with caution, it's considered as a practical use, not the max damage output.
