Plan to try this out - I've always tried to emulate the end game forcefield tactic earlier. But the original game is just so easy to plow through with elemental damage and power hits.

I can get them down to half HP, but then every attack misses. I tried the strategy from a youtube video, but it didn't work.

I have a save state in the AC still. I'll try the frypan later today. Are there any weapons that Maxim or Guy can use to hit them?

- Frypan
- Mace
- Rod
- Staff
- Long Staff
- Morning Star
- Pounder Rod
- Zircon Rod
What level are you, in which row is Selan standing and do you have Tweak available?

First I tried with a frypan and tweaked a few times. Still wouldn't hit.
Then I switched to a staff, and it finally worked!

I guess the Frypan just is too weak compared to the stronger weapons.

Oh well, going through with the rest of the game. I'll get to see how Amon is soon.

We may never know for sure if you had a Zircon Rod, but maybe there were even more unlucky things for you like they summoned one of the anglerfishs in front row - which would lower the damage for the Dark Summoners even more.

nothing else to say about that.
I wish Lufia 2 had some final save at the ending that would bring you back to where you can explore the world again.

I'm not sure whether a post-game fits to Lufia for me. However, if it fits story-wise it may be a good idea for games in general. Well, if and only if the final boss stays beaten. I don't like it if you get some special stuff like extra dungeons for beating the final boss, but the final boss is still there alive as if nothing had happened. Because that just doesn't make any sense logically.
And did you arrive at Doom Island now?

I haven't been able to play in a while. I'm at Doom Island. I'll probably try to finish next week.
I don't mean for extra dungeons. Just to be able to go back and do something.
