So I started a new game with the b5 patch and came across some bugs with my equipment. First off it seems the Battle Bamboo can be equipped by my Squire even though it says it can only be equipped by the Mystic which is the Oracle I think and the Arith which is the Sage. Also my Squire can equip Knight armor as well without the equip heavy armor ability set, then my Time Mage can equip rods as well as staffs.
Bugged Equipment?

I wouldn't trust the text descriptions of items in this. I think many of them were left unchanged from vanilla.
I seem to recall being able to wield sticks and armour as a squire when I played that. If you want accurate information, you can check out the iso in FFTPatcher.

Ludo is right. The equipment is not bugged, the tool tips are just not up to date.

Oh, ok thanks for the info. So are Squires more like Onion Knights? They now have the ability to equip a lot more items.
