Hooray, it's back. Well, almost, anyway. Haha
Yeah. I still need to figure out what the fuck is wrong with my recording software. I usually record with multi-channel audio (commentary is recorded in a separate track, which is a really nice function come editing time), but when I went to record this one, something different happened.
I had eight fucking audio channels, 6 of which had absolutely nothing.
I haven't the slightest clue why, but if I have to, from now on I'll just record it like that and delete the blank channels in Vegas. You probably won't notice it, but from 22 minutes on, the audio is all in one channel, which.. in retrospect, might have been an error on my part when editing out the white noise in Audacity.
I keep them separate because not only is it easier to eliminate background noise, but it's also really nice in case I have to adjust the audio levels a bit. I'm also using a particular shader now which you'll see in video 9 and up.

5 months already? Le sadness.
Seriously, since the last video I played the entire mod up until Tiamat in Memoria. When I'm doing between 2-4k damage per attack an attack and the boss one shots me while restoring 6k, I get kind of annoyed. Then I got Ni No Kuni and lost interest in FF9 for a while.

How is Ni No Kuni? I'm thinking of picking that up.
It's pretty good. It's basically the pokemon game I've wished existed since I played FF7 for the first time.
It's got the Kingdom Hearts problem of having to fiddle with selecting shit while running around during battle. You have to hold the controller in a funny way to do this, since selecting abilities is done with the dpad while moving is the stick. It's very minor, because when you open a menu it pauses battle. Plus you're AI team mates are apparently suicidal. The take a lot of babysitting to keep alive during bosses.
Of course, this doesn't really matter. You can either take a support role and let your team take care of everything, or you can just let them be dead and focus on yourself.
The story is only okay. Honestly, how the characters talk is way more interesting than what they are saying. It's very light hearted with a very nice colorful world. The mons are neat. They wouldn't be out of place in a pokemon game, except for the ones running around with shields and swords.
Just note, it is VERY childish. Not in a bad way by any means. It is definately made for younger kids who think a Cat King who everyone calls "Meowjesty" is funny (other than that, I really liked the Cat King). Or people who can still enjoy disney movies in their adulthood.
It is pretty damn easy though, I've only died 4ish times. 1 of those was because I went exploring in my boat and got fucking curbstomped by enemies way stronger than me. It's not so easy that I'm just autopiloting it, just challenging enough to keep me engaged while .
Anyway, I definitely recommend it. Still kinda pissed there is no hard mode tho
