Hey guys, this is going to seem random as hell and come out of nowhere, but I need to post this here. Wasn't sure if my sub-forum or the General one was more appropriate, so went for General.
Firstly, I need to apologise for a couple of reasons. The first: that I've let down everyone anticipating my mod. Life has thrown me through the wringer a few times over in the past couple of months and that's forced me to re-evaluate every choice I've made, or failed to, as the case may be. I came to the realisation that I've been completely addicted to games. Not in the sense of "I love games and spend my free time on them", but in more of a "videogames are the only thing worth dedicating my time to, and real life can fuck off", which has led me into the situation that I'm in.
So, what this means is I need to completely re-configure my behavioural patterns before it's too late and I end up with nothing, which unfortunately means I need a couple of things to be cut short: my project, and my time here on this site. Again, I'm really sorry for letting any of you guys down, and I hope that those of you who know me (or at least know of my obsessional nature) understand. Thanks for everything over the last few years since I've joined, and I hope you all enjoy yourselves. Have a good one.
Thanks for all the fish, guys...

Heya, it's nice that you're able to locate what's making your life go south and then do something about it. I won't lie to you, it's sad to see the project get discontinued. Maybe someone else will pick it up or you will find a time in your life when you wish to work on it again, when it is rewarding and not keeping you from what you want to do/be. Whatever happens though, it's good that you're taking control of your life and doing what is necessary. If your mod (among other things) is keeping you away from progressing in your life, it's only natural that you discontinue work on it.
As we usually say, real life takes priority, and not with a close margin. If we are in the position to be anything, we should be proud of you and not disappointed.
This is a home on the internet for many. As such, you don't need any particular project you're working on or do anything else in particular; you can come and go as you like; you will always be welcome here. Come back and say hi at any time if you wish, or don't. ID will remain while you're working through the things you need to deal with in your life.
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. See you here, there or anywhere -- sooner, later or in the distant future.

I'm sorry to see you go. Was looking forward to your project, since you and I have similar opinions on design philosophy and such. Also I understand the obsessional nature of things, since that has led to my own project. (along with the obsessional nature of working on it almost non-stop and such)
However, real life is always more important. So I wish you the best of luck.

All the best to you, kyozo! It's very difficult to change one's habits so I find your self-reflection and resolution to act very admirable.

Just make sure to come back after you've sorted everything out dude, I'd hate to see you drop off the face of the internet. Even if it's five years down the road, I'll probably still be here.
