A new version is available. Now you can also choose whether to have buffed regular enemies as well.

I'm so lost right now, I want to play the Harder Version of Lufia II (really suck at that patch stuff xD) so as far as I understand the harder version is only playable with the US version of Lufia II right?

Yes, you need the US version with a header. In the readme it's explained how exactly you see whether it's the correct ROM.

Oh neat, just discovered this hack/mod !
Question...is version 3.13 is final version or is this still being worked on ?
Also, I could not find the change logs here :
http://www.insanedif...the-sinistrals/
Oh and about difficult is this game ?
I find the vanilla to be very challenging on it's on.

The actual version is 4.0. Though, it's inofficial and technically still a beta. You can find a topic on romhacking.net.
It's mostly final I think, that is gameplay-wise. However, there might be some upcoming updates like changing some enemy names, but it'll really be only cosmetic. I think it'll be finalized in a few months or so.
Otherwise this is the current newest (beta) version:

This package contains several different patches. Alternatively to Kureji there's also Spekkio Lufia which especially towards the end amps up the difficulty, but without getting ridiculously insanely hard (excluding the optional superbosses, though).
Kureji Lufia on the other hand is extremely hard right from the start and expects a lot of metagame knowledge - and it doesn't get any easier later on. Especially if you consider vanilla challenging enough already, the patch better suited for you might be Spekkio Lufia.

First off, thanks for the speedy reply !
Hmm, is the Spekkio version also hosted on this site ?
* outside of the patch you have just provided *
So the "Spekkio" patch is only hard at the end of the game ?
Rather, is there a change log available for this patch/hack ?
Yeah, never been able to beat the vanilla version of this game without save states and such.
* never really understood or got the hang of the battle system *
Are there any tips/tricks you could give to help out with battles/boss fights in general ?

No, Spekkio isn't hosted here aside from my own link.
With a very few exceptions it's only harder at the very end. Though, there's another optional fight during around 2/3 of the game.
For all the major patches (called projects) there's some list of the important changes somewhere in their readmes. (Aside from all the bugfixes which are listed separate in a more general readme about the projects.)
Never got the hang of the battle system? Actually I'm not that surprised as the game really is not good at giving the player a proper learning curve. For example, there are some NPCs in the very first towns that explain something, but after that... Nothing more is said about it. Also, the game (maybe excluding the Ancient Cave) really never explores properly the depth of its battle system. At the beginning you learn you can use weapons, spells and IP moves and... really, that's it. Neither are we told something new or interesting by NPCs nor does the actual battles themselves really provide anything meaningful which explores the depth.
Really the pinnacle of good battles outside the AC are Trantula and 1st Gades whereas the goodness of the Gades battle actually is debatable as the only thing that goes for him is... being strong value-wise. Again, no ingenuity or cleverness in the design of the battle. Seriously, there's absolutely no remarkable fight in the story mode aside from these earlier ones. And they are mostly remarkable because you're actually still in the phase of getting accustomed to everything at that point of the game.
General tips? For Kureji or really general? If it's the latter, not really - because all the battles are too bland. For example 1st Gades: assuming you are strong enough to not get one-shotted (otherwise do some buffing), all there are to do is: Buy enough of the ridiculously overpowered statues/Goddess Idols and use one every round to fully heal the damage. As soon as you've learned this, that's really everything there is to this battle. And this battle basically is considered the hardest non AC-challenge the game has to offer. Really for every fight that's all you need for tactics:
1) If necessary, do some buffing and debuffing
2) Attack, attack and if necessary do enough healing
For Kureji and to some extent (mostly optional stuff) Spekkio, it's important to know that there's equipment which prevents status ailments just by wearing. Considering you might need some better introduction to the depths of the battle system, I really suggest Spekkio as on the one hand everything non-optional isn't that hard and on the other hand there are some tough optional battles which actually exhaust the depths of the battle system better. The pinnacle of fighting in Spekkio Lufia are La Puella and the Egg Dragon at party level 99 who really demand some fighting skills.

@Artemis
Again, thanks for taking the time to reply to my questions.
Hmm, so the "Spekkio" version is like the vanilla version...but the end-game enemies are stronger ?
If so, I think I will give that version a go first.
Yeah, I have not got around to checking out all of the bug-fix patches and such.
But it sounds like some of them were applied to this hack ?
Yeah, I recall it took me a long time to understand how the IP-Skill are used/worked.
I would usually let enemies beat up my team until they had 100% IP...then fight the boss using everyone's IP-Skills.
Outside of healing, I never really understood the best way to use magic.
My regular attacks and IP-Skill seemed to do so much more damage.
Thanks for the tips, and I did not know there was an item that fully heals your party !
Man, it has been a while since I have played the vanilla...I recall some IP-skills that would buff your defense...but I don't recall using any debuffs though my playthrough.
Wow, I will have to check some of the item description then...never realized that equipment did anytime other than stat-boost and IP-Skills.
Again thank for your help...I feel as though there is so much I don't know about this game.

As I said, it's still a beta, but I didn't explicitly call it that way, hoping it actually will be the final version in the end.
I don't think there will be any major changes. But there's a good chance I'll change some more enemy names in the next months, if I get a proper translation which is somewhat likely.

I Have a question what is the diference bewthen Kureiji Lufia and Age of the sinistrals?

Erm, they are two completely different hacks made by completely different creators.
In a nutshell, Kureji is a hard mode whereas Age more is a rebalance hack. And whereas in Kureji the actual core gameplay is basically unchanged, in Age there are more drastically changes to the actual game like changing the damage formula.

Thanks for the info friend !
Currently looking into running this on a PS-Vita/TV.
I am looking forward to diving into this hack, during my next break from Persona 5.

Actually I did some additional balancing for Spekkio (everything else is unchanged).
My link
Added a little quirk to the Master of the Ancient Cave - which may or may not actually be helpful.
I'd say everything is final now gameplay-wise, but I'm always saying this. So better wait some more month if you're waiting for the real (likely) final version.
