Hey guys. Thanks for the cool Mod zombero!
I am playing through the mod now, and because Chrono Trigger is my #1 Game of all Time, I felt I should post about it. It's a great game so far. There is a good challenge to it, and for someone who has played this game start to finish dozens of times, it's refreshing to have it feel fresh and difficult. Good work on keeping the balance and the small script changes on certain fights. This game has kept me on my toes.
A few notes on my playthrough so far: I DID solo Guardia Forest with Crono. THAT was hard, and even after I got him to level 3-4 with Marle, those three Imps in the beginning of the Middle Ages still kicked my ass a few times. I am currently just past the fight with Magus, and so far the game has offered a great challenge without being overly frustrating (FFIX ID got that way for me, personally). The fight with Magus was surprisingly terrifying and had me on the edge of my seat. Coincidentally, I tried out snex9x's AVI recording feature just before the fight started and made a record of my first shot at it! I'll post it here when it uploads to Youtube.
The only bugs I have seen so far: Occasionally, the game freezes randomly. The music still plays and the emulator works, but the gameplay freezes. This has happened once in Hekrans Cave in the path leading past the Jinn Bottle on the left that spits out three octupi and once in Magus' Castle in the room where Ozzie is pulling enemies up from below on chains (the final battle in this room, specifically).
Thanks for the great Mod, see you later.
Playing Through :)

Yeah, those 3 imps will probably have the advantage if you fail to buy tonics in advance.
I'm glad you had fun with Magus. This brute crushed me a few times and even forced me to reload from an earlier save! I hadn't struggled as much since carry armor* in a minimal EXP FF7 challenge (I don't count action-based challenges like Parallel World's Impa's Ways boss).
Good luck with the second half of the game. I personally think it's even better than the first half.
I didn't see any crashes myself but then I was using a different emulator (bsnes).
*apologies to the forum if "carry armor" is considered obscene language.

When I play Heavy and push the bomb with one life, I call myself Carry Armour.

Hrm those game freezes are a surprise, no one has mentioned anything of the kind before. I made a CT hack a long time before I made this one that became corrupted with freezes, and that's why I made a new hack from scratch (and also changed a lot more) which is the one hosted here, today. It was the Lock spell that caused freezes in the old version, sounds like a different problem this time around.
In the first instance, you're saying the game froze when you were just walking outside of battle in Hekran's Cave?
