Hey guys, while we wait for the next version of the game, I thought I'd make a poll for what people want. Of course, this doesn't mean any of these will happen, but if enough people want something, DK might put extra effort in to see it happen.

Big fan of the hack since its beginning, but the later patches are less Mario and more of everything else (FF, Pkm, KH, etc). I just wished all mario bosses would have been used before going over other styles, this almost doesn't feel like a Mario game anymore.

Love the enhanced mechanics and challenge though, keep on.

If i'm not mistaken under the original game engine aren't the event, graphics, battlescript, and monster memories are all practically completely used up as far as the original game engine is concerned? A lot of the more recent non assembly edits have been sacrificing other things in the hack, because there just isn't much spare memory left if any at all. The memory ranges for the various memory types that are defined in the game engine would have to be redefined if much more content is to be added. Such edits definitely aren't going to involve assembly edits in just one location/function.

Yes, there isn't much spare memory for things. What's your point?

This poll is about interest, not practicality. Although sacrifices may be necessary, none of the things listed are impossible to have. I can personally attest to that.

By the way, there's more spare memory than you think... the credits is mostly intact, save for the graphics.

plus there's also possible map node removals/overhauls like what happened to yoster isle/grate guy casino........ i mea yea the maps themselves are "technically" there but some more stuff like that in a sort of side story/epilogue type of thing would be cool

I would love to see Luigi and Yoshi as playable characters. I'd also love to see Wario as a playable, though I doubt that would happen as his sprites would have to be implimented from scratch. Maybe even the Koopalings, though them as playable would be stretching it quite a bit.

Luigi and Yoshi has playable charaters would be cool. Also perhaps a fight vs Gannon somewhere? If Link could join the party that would be amazing. Zelda would also be amazing. Link and Zelda are from The legend of zelda series obviously. In the vanilla game you see Link taking a nap in an inn at rose town and I thought when I played the game back in 1999 there was some way Link could join the party. Of course this was not the case but that would be amazing. Obviusly not for this lateest release but perhaps a new release 3 to 6 months down the line. Perhaps even a new board where hyrule can be at. Again I do not know space iimitations and how long such a thing would take so please just take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

I decided to cast my vote for more Mario characters as well, or more specifically bosses in this case.

As fun as it is to have all these FF bosses and all the different Pokemon in the game, and I think these do a good job paying tribute to both the Square side of the game and the Nintendo side, I feel like there are a lot of iconic bosses from the Mario&Luigi games and Paper Mario games that we're missing out on.
Iconic bosses such as Antasma, Princess Shroob, Dark Star, the 3 Dragon Sisters Hooktail Gloomtail and Bonetail, Lord Crump, Count Bleck, Cackletta, and of course Fawful, and many other bosses besides.
Of course I know the hack is at the point that if there is going to be any new bosses old ones would most likely need to be removed.

I'm not saying I would expect all these bosses to be implemented and to remove all non-Mario related bosses, I would just like it if there was just a little more of a shift toward the Mario universe bosses, and I think some of those bosses are good examples of potential candidates. (Lets face it, the end game of this hack is starting to feel more like some kind of anime themed jrpg. )

I'd be up for more bosses, story and Mario characters. Whether the Mario characters be playable, NPC or fightable like Rosalina. For the bosses part, maybe more Mario universe bosses and less other different bosses from Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, etc. Not that they're bad or anything but they do veer off into different universes. Keeping a few Final Fantasy bosses is totally fine as the game is a mix of Mario and Final Fantasy. So either more bosses that are from the Mario universe or maybe some original bosses. Mario-esque bosses or even of your own creation. :-)

Throw in Count Bleck at least.

This hack already has The Master and She wHo Absolutely, Definitely, and Obviously Will and must not be named... QUEries about this ENemy should not even be made. Thus, Count Bleck or Dimentio would be a good choice from Super Paper Mario. (or, of course, having MR. L show up... )

Or, if the Mario & Luigi series is more your style, there's Fawful.

I remember reading on the old SMRPG gamefaq's board a long time ago a story of someone finding the beta of the game at blockbuster, and there being a mysterious location on the Seaside Town overworld section near the Sea called "Mario's Factory".
This location had the tileset of Smithy's Factory, and involved the player moving Mario along the conveyor belts at the end part where the Drill Bits were being made.

This is likely a hoax, but putting such a place in the game would be a nod to a really interesting story that existed back in the late 90's. You can find folks talking about this story still if you search on google.

Another thing was Mario accidentally getting hit on the head with the hammer he got in Mushroom Way by Toad. Lots of folks "remember" seeing that as well.

That actually happens with the hammer in Booster's Tower.

It does! People remember it happening at the start of the game, though. Lots of misplaced memories of this game.

I like that the game has characters and elements from other games, but I also feel that it makes it not feel as much like a Mario game. I think it would be great if there was an alternate mod that included the difficulty, mechanics, and other cool stuff, but was just a Mario game. Another version with characters and aspects from Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc would be awesome. Basically Super Smash Bros. characters working together in an RPG. That would be awesome!
