I have to say, it was an interesting experience. It's like if you've been cast into the pits of Hell, and you go on a journey to get back to the surface. It's hard and grueling, but with dedication and becoming as strong as possible, the journey is possible. So basically the first Kid Icarus.
The introduction of different Psynergy and equipment was definitely an interesting time. It constantly made me think about how I can use my equipment, and when. For example, while a Brigand being more powerful than a Tempest Lizard doesn't make much sense, I learned to alternate between Flash and Granite on every turn for every boss afterwards. Or if there was a weapon with something awesome like an extra turn, I had to take the good with the bad and use it to my advantage.
At first, I didn't understand the purpose of the "Level Caps". Then, when I played the game at levels 35 and 50, I figured it out; it's in order to set up the party for the next game to the player's choice. To have a proper challenge, stop at 35. If you want to be a bit more experienced, then go to 50. And if you want to unleash the same amount of torment this game put on you, then go all the way to 99 and never stop!
Overall, I'd rate this hack an 8.2/10. Not sure how Isaac and co. will get defeated by Agatio and Karst in the next game, but maybe that's because they don't have save states ;-)

It's nice, I like it, but I haven't finished it. I played it together for another person in my former line of work (personal assistance), and stopped as I stopped working there. I would have continued otherwise. Don't have much input elsewise, as it has been a while. :]
