I don't know about you guys, but there are some some games I'd LOVE to see get the ID treatment, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm putting this up as a sort of wish list. I'm not gonna bug anyone to do them, but maybe someone will be inspired to do these. I dunno

Naturally, if anyone else wants to pitch in theirs, go for it. It's kinda awkward if it's just me.

As for my Wish list:
- Yoshi's Island. The normal stages, that is. The Extra and Secret Stages are hard enough by themselves.
- Tales of Phantasia. Or any Tales game that's feasible, really
- a Legend of Zelda game. Take your pick

Also, there are a bunch of LOZ games out there already, so the infrastructure is there. Also, I'm no hacker, but OoT has that master quest version as well. So one already exists for that as well. But one may also use vanilla and MQ to maybe compare to see what's what to make their own changes.

Personally, I'd rather see a decent LttP redesign. The ones I saw out there were lacking something.

The potential for depth in FFXII:IZJS is comparable to FFT. We could make it a very, very good game.

Honestly, FFXII:IZJS would be the absolute best hardtype hack in history, and probably the most time consuming to do. If anyone can do it, you will forever be a god in my online book. This game is not that hard even with jobs, I want to see it with pumped up enemies. That will be something.

It couldn't be done by one person though. For it to be done right, it needs the whole community. Everyone and their ideas, a couple of people to figure out how to do it in the first place. It can't just be double stats on enemies. It needs an overhaul.

But honestly, I don't think any game can compete with FFT for a hard-mode hack. This kind of game is positively made for it. FFXII:IZJS is as close as you'll get though. With a complete overhaul this game could be absolutely amazing.

Vagrant story was in the works last I checked, but that was a while ago for me as well.

And I completely agree. Yasumi Matsuno would fit in rather well on this board. I get the impression that if he didn't have to make game for the masses they would have been as hard as we make 'em in the first place.

Can you imagine: we start working on a comprehensive mod of FFXII:IZJS, and Matsuno joins ID, and he starts helping us organize everything, providing insights, suggestions, etc. And at one point, he says, "We need to make sure it is perfect like FFT v1.3."

Do not forget the best (for me) J-RPG game make ever, XenoGears. The only bad on this game is the short difficulty

The only hard part of Xenogears is recovering from the repetitive stress injury on your thumb trying to mash your way through the second disc's dialogue boxes.
