Seriously, its awful.
We have 2 projects that have been abandoned for technical reasons, a shitload of mods either unreleased or in beta, and several which haven't been updated in years and the creator is either infrequent of completely gone.
At the same time, we have people like Sega Chief and Emmy who have complete mods that are still being tinkered with. Why don't they get sub boards?

The FFV board can get nuked for all I care. I don't have the knowledge or motivation to work on it right now. I assume the link on the forum page could just be removed, and put back up sometime in the future when I get back to it.

Just please don't remove the actual threads. There's knowledge in there.

For that, it wouldn't be the worst idea to have a "Notes" subforum, where modders without a subforum can post their findings. It's not an uncommon thing in hacking forums.

Nothing is getting deleted, content is content.
As for the sub boards being "A mess," - the sub boards are providing a host for the mod and providing critical information for the mod. They are hosted here because the website is a website designed to host mods.
I do agree that with an increase in mods, only active ones should have a sub forum for discussion and development purposes, where as old mod may just have a page stating its information (i.e "downloads").
Either way, I'll contact Archael and see if we can get forums started for sega chief and emmy (we will).
Don't worry about inactivity from mod creators, stable versions and latest releases will still encourage discussion in the forum. It's not like 1.3 gets frequent updates anymore - the forum is still active. The subs are here for people to come and ask questions a bout the mod.

There really aren't any conditions. Just show that you have some work completed and/or a working version, and express interest in having community feedback.
With a full time job I haven't been around as much as I'd like too, I will try and get on top of things from now on.

Because they haven't asked me to create them.
I can create a board for those hacks in 5 minutes, but I need the devs to actually request it so I know that they are on board with managing a forum.

1. The developer needs to have an interest in managing a board here (and message me about it! I can't guess)
2. The project needs to require a board due to people wanting to discuss its gameplay or development
