I see that the Dark Cave and Arrange mode have been temporarily disabled. My question is, if I start playing now and another update for those comes out, will I have to start a new game?

No, the update won't require a restart.

Any target on when this is going to be released? Just curious as wanted to start a hard mode run and wondered if it's worth trying 1.3 near term.

It'll still be a while before Arrange/Hard mode is done for 1.4, I'm afraid.

is this back in yet? its really the only thing stopping me from starting the mod. i'd hate to miss content by beating it before its even out.

Oh no Dark Cave? I just reached the Prison and am having a blast with it so far.

Dark Cave is in 1.4, at least the IRO version that you install with 7th Heaven. There are a few bugs, but they're pretty deterministic - usually interacting with some miscellaneous stuff that isn't required and doesn't even have a reward. If you save often once you're in there, you'll be fine, but do make sure it's not over your main save since you can't get out without finishing it, and you won't be able to grind easily.

There was a guy bugging me about it a lot so I deployed Dark Cave a lot earlier than I'd planned. It's very buggy and, well, crap at the moment.

Yo, been hooked on this mod for the past week, gotta give some more in-depth feedback when I've finished, but for now I gotta know if omnislash has been moved or something? I just beat zack but all I got was an armlet. All the info I found online and from the documents point to this fight for omnislash but I sure didn't get it. After my first win I figured, maybe I gotta steal it from him and beat him again but apparently it's not like that either.. What's up?

It should get given to you in a dialogue box after the fight, not as a drop from the battle - check your inventory maybe? I had some bugs with drops from those quests, too, though.
