So, something I was thinking about and it would be better to expand idea wise here then it would be in comments. So do you guys think this is viable? My idea would be not necessarily very frequently but some type of podcast from time to time. How popular could it be? I don't know but if anything it would be cool to shoot the breeze about stuff relevant to us while we expand as a site so we can share with others as they come.

A podcast takes a lot of commitment to produce a quality show on a regular basis. I think it's a cool idea though, if someone is willing to put in the time and effort. Hell, I know I have enough on my plate, but I'd be willing to contribute when I have the time.

I'm in the same boat as Stann. I don't have the time or know-how to get this thing up and running, but i'd be willing to appear when I could to help.

Nowadays it's not THAT hard to do, but it would involve actual work (which isn't always fun) as Stann said:
1. Writing a loose script of topics to cover, etc
2. Medium
3. Getting people together
blah blah

I feel that. I think that even if ID ended up producing very few, the product would be pretty amazing and even then I would like to hear it. But as has been said it will take work so over time hopefully we can get something going.

With today's technology it's not difficult to get your podcast out there, but it is very time intensive to make sure it's a high quality product. You're competing with a lot of shows that have already grabbed their part of the market share of listeners.
But hey, if a couple of virologists can slap together a podcast every week in their spare time and release 182 episodes and counting, I'm sure we could do something.

Ooooh. I was going to post my opinion in the thread, should I save it for the possible future podcast?

Our first topic can be Fake Difficulty!

That's a pretty good topic idea. We could go over it and just talk about games that we've played that had Fake Difficulty and why. If we got into it, we could easily talk a half an hour or more on the subject, I think.

This seems like another one of those things that I think I would enjoy doing, until I realize it takes more effort than I'm willing to show...
