I'm sure that most of you are aware of the patch that gives CD audio quality to MMX thanks to the recently developed MSU1 chip. I was wondering, had anyone tried applying it to Hard Type? Would it be possible? If so, which one should I apply first?
And if it isn't possible as it is, would it be possible to make a version of Hard Type compatible? That would really bring a fresh feel to the game
Thanks in advance
Applying the new MSU1 patch to MMX Hard Type?

You could probably apply it over Hard Type, since to my knowledge none of the music is changed by it.

Unfortunately, I just tried (both ways, both by patching HT first, and last), and as expected, it didn't work. The games hangs after the intro screen at best. I suppose both games change data location too much to be compatible.
So now I turn this into a request! Please consider making a version compatible with the MSU1 audio patch!
Meanwhile, I'll be playing HT as it is, thanks for everything either way

Hey have you tried it on the SD2SNES or with Higan? Not sure if it would matter, but I think it would have a better chance of working on the SD2SNES.
EDIT:
Tried it. Same result.
By the way, I've uploaded multiple MSU1 games (on EP and TIZ) with different custom soundtracks. I'd recommend this one: https://www.youtube....h?v=7PmqqAag8Vs
I'm going to upload the converted files for the MSU1 soon.
EDIT: Alright everyone download it here: firedrop.com/d46c331c15db483f
