Insane Difficulty: Anyone still playing? - Insane Difficulty

First of all, I would like to thank DrBretto and all the people involved into the mod. I've been hating myself since the "game over" message showed up in the very first battle. 10/10
Seems like I'm a bit off as the last posts in this forum were some months ago, but is there by any chance someone who's still playing?
I'm actually in the second fight with Bewolf. I'm actually using Ramza, generic-sage, Rafa, Malak and Mustadio, everybody around lv 41. I was like "wut?" for the 0 damage on one of the dudes in that little cave, but then I've noticed that most of them have double Summon/Magic Gun with 100 faith. ):
Either way, I'm kinda figuring out how to go through that. I do not even like Bewolf and Reis in the first place, so whatever :v.
For those who got past me, I actually have some few questions
The first would be:
Is Malak worthless? I've noticed tons of high Faith characters, and Rafa is always looking as a better option than him (as a Netherseer. Maybe making
him a ninja and relying less in Nether Mantra would work?)
Second; Materia Blade is now 2h sword. Does Cloud still need to be wielding it for the Limits? Are they better than in Vanilla?
Last one is kinda personal... which of the Guests (including Ramza himself) do you think is the best and why? Looks like the more I like someone, the worse he is ):

If forum activity is any indication, the project is not only abandon by the modders, but also players. There are people that frequent the site that has played the mod, however. For a better community experience and a more balanced game over-all, FFT 1.3 for PSX is the better option.

We'll see if your appearance will trigger any activity around these parts.

Bretto is gone for good, it seems. Kyozo took over, then he took a hiatus. The mod that has been released has some very questionable decisions, and Kyo never quite got a new version out. So, yeah. Nobody is playing.

I started to play this version as well, before going to 1.3 on PSX. I stopped playing around... I think I had just defeated Zombie Zalbaag. I can't really tell you how useful Malak could be, since I just abused the shit out of Dark Knight Ramza, Balthier, and the superspecialguest Kakashi. Oh, also the interesting skillset Meliadoul has there. I actually remember getting past the Colliery sidequest thanks to her.

Can't really say much about Cloud either, unfortunately. But my favorite guests are the ones I just mentioned: Meliadoul, Balthier, and Kakashi. They rock.

This version has an accessory that grants permanent Faith status. It turns Malak into a monster.

Just equipping it on Malak. Faith status treats his faith as 0 when using Un-Truth. And you can use it in any class, unlike the Faith Rod.
