Hi Guys, first time posting to these boards and let start with a bit of praise:
This mod is amazing. From top to bottom it is one of the best mods for a game I've seen, all the more so when you consider it respects the heart of the game while comprehensively making everything about it even better. I'm pretty early on myself, but friends of mine are also playing it and the feeling is pretty universal amongst my circles.
It is actually on behalf of a friend of mine that I'm making this post (though I have every intention of being a more active forum member now that I have an account here). He has made it to the WoR, and is now finding that he need to be investing a fair bit more money into equipment of different elemental types if he's going to survive out there. This of course requires gold, and he's been having a hard time figuring out an efficient place to grind for it.
Currently he's using the Caves of Narshe, and getting a return of approximately 50k an hour, which seems a bit low to him, So my question is:
Is there a preferred place(s) to grind for gold, or is he experienced return rates approximately as planned for the game? Is grinding for gold supposed to take a very long time, or can someone point him in the right direction of a better place to do the gold grind?

Welcome! You and all of your friends, I'm really glad you're enjoying the mod.
As for places to farm gold specifically, the Movers in the forest near Jidoor will give you a better GP return for your time.

At 10 HP for 5000 gold Movers sure do look like they'd give a much better ROI.
Thanks a lot!

Also something to point out is that starting in WoR, gear is afaik designed to be intentionally prohibitively expensive; there is a lot of really good gear lying about in treasure chests across the world, and you should only be stocking up on gear you think you'll need for a specific boss fight (And even then, usually just a specific piece rather than a full set of the gear; elemental resistances don't stack with themself).
I usually don't have much money issues by the time I'm finishing up the WoR, but there's only a handful of pieces of gear I pick up from stores anyway.
