I appreciate you making this mode, first off all. Thank you!
I feel like it is easier than I expected having played through about 5 difficulty mods for various games on the site. I just finished the Heckran making him the 3rd boss fight in a row that I beat first try without having to use any revives. Usually, it is easy to adjust RPG difficulty by avoiding fights and running away but on Chrono Trigger, there are too many mandatory fights and since you disabled running away, I am stuck with the difficulty as is, which is kinda too easy.
How did you disable running? I tried to open the Lavos Awakening ROM with some CT editors to try to tweak it so I can run again but I am not seeing how.
Did you just use an editor or a more extensive hack of some kind?
Thanks!
Why disable running?

The difficulty level of the hack is set to be challenging with minimal grinding. Once you reach the late game where the hack assumes maxed defensive stats, there won't be any way around the difficulty anymore. Whenever I come back to this hack, I'll probably implement a scaling level cap so that I can make the whole game like that.
Running was disabled because the run chance in CT was 100%, and you could basically just not fight any encounters if you choose to. Normal battles are an important part of the game to me, and I don't want them to be fully skippable, especially since many of them can be avoided in the first place.
I didn't use an editor to disable running. It was done by altering the game's subroutine for running and overriding it to always be disabled.
Addendum: my browser plugin that alerts me when various webpages are updated seems to be having trouble with this page... sorry for the late response.
