I have up to Nue 2 recorded, but another beta will be coming out later on today so I'll be running through it again after that.

Starting my own LP of this
Unlike 1.3, BoF can be played in shorter sessions, so i should be able to fit it in my current timetable a lot easier
Yraal road difficulty seems to be in the right spot. You can just about win a single battle and grab a few enemy skills, provided you blow through all of your mana and are ready to maybe save a guy with an item.
BossGoblin is in a weird spot. He can't really threaten you, because not enough dps. But he can buff up to become nigh unkillable. Though i recall not being able to actually finish off BossGoblins early on in vanilla as well, so i guess that's fair enough.
Then again, a bossgoblin with three goblins helping him should be quite deadly.
Some questions right off the bat:
- it seems that Boss Goblin "Shield" and Eye Goo "Counter" don't trigger a "this ability cannot be learned" question mark response. Was wondering if they can actually be examined and learned this early
- will i ruin the difficulty experience much if i go and twink myself out in fishing gear? The time investment is defiinitely comparable to level grinding, but i really love that minigame

They're supposed to run when alone. Are you playing on 0.1e?
And yeah, quite deadly.

I know that Shield does correctly display that response, because quite frankly I don't know where to go to even turn it off; it's probably hardcoded. I've also seen it numerous times while trying to learn Influence. Counter should not be able to be learned like that, no. Speaking of which, I need to flag the Eye Goo for reprisal at that point (when it starts using Counter) when I throw out 0.2, because Counter does absolutely nothing for it right now since it's incapable of reprisals.

For 0.1? Probably, because I didn't even think about it at that point. For 0.2? Nope! I looked at the Manillo Shop just after I changed the Masters, so they should be in a good spot. The Silver Knife will be unchanged, but the ghosts in McNeil's Manor will have much higher Holy resistance. The Holy property on the weapon will still net you a damage boost, just not as heavy as it did before.
The armor has been balanced in accordance with current available shop armor. Do keep in mind that the changes to Manillo gear is for 0.2 though. In 1.0 they're untouched, so it's quite possible you might break something with them.
That being said, you might be better off using the Melted Blade anyway, as it has a Fire property now.
A general rule when trying to find out what you can learn through examine is this: if it seems too OP for that point in the game, you probably can't learn it.
Edit: Also, edited your post with spoiler tags for the videos. It helps keep the lag down both for myself (I generally have far too many tabs open) and users on their smartphones.
