What's the difference between this mod and this: http://ffhacktics.co...hp?topic=9817.0
I want to start playing one but I'm not sure what has more content and is more hard to play.
Anyone played both?

It seems like FFTA:GG mixes a bit FFTA with FFT in the concept. Instead the next version of FFTA:X will focus more on balancing the game and enhancing difficulty while trying to keep more in line with the original concepts of the game (well for what I know). Only the classes that were entirely broken are going to be changed into something else. Also I think FFTA:GG tends to let the player use way less characters than normally, featuring some duels as well.

GG is not a difficulty mod. It removes broken skills and adds level scaling.

FFTA: X aims to big significantly more challenging than the original. Think 1.3.

IIRC the leader of GG is also gone from FFH, and doesn't support it anymore.

Yeah I wasn't not too fond of GG's changelong as it turns the game into something else, I like FFTA vanilla, I just want much more difficulty and balance.
Enemy level scaling to yours, stronger enemy team setups and gear, fixed broken skills and other 1.3-esque stuff like that.
I heard a lot of good things of this mod and I'm basically restraining myself to not starting to play the current version.
I guess I'll wait the next out then :yes

Yeah, and if you knew what happened between then and now, you'd understand why.

Anyway, I can't promise a release date, and I regret saying that weekends ago.

I'm glad you all are interested, though... And work is still in progress.

Shit happens, man. People have their lives to live, and sometimes the unexpected happens. Our lives come before modding. No one pays us to do this, it is something we do in our own free time. It'll be ready when it's ready. Passive aggression will only earn you ire here.

Perhaps that might be a bit harsh, but shit like this pisses me off.

This attitude is partly why many projects like this never get completed. Putting unnecessary pressure on content creators is actually harmful towards their productivity. I know this seems like common sense, but if someone is creating something on their own time and dime, then it will be finished when it's finished. Friendly encouragement is fine and welcome, but complaining that someone hasn't met the deadlines that they themselves promised isn't helpful. Trust me when I say that when we have to go back on our promises for any reason, we beat ourselves up over it more than anyone else can. Adding to it only compounds the stress.

I actually like FFTA GG the only thing i didn't like was the vampire invi bug there especially the mateus fight
well it was harder than the original simply because of the item lock they did not getting overly powerful items early...

May I just remind everyone that the topic is comparing FFTa GG to FFTa X

Please don't say things that will pressure them... Let them do it in the time they want to do it cause they
actually are the guys who does the real work here...
