I don't know of any other MMBN hacks (especially difficulty hacks). This was an exciting prospect but it doesn't seem like there's a lot going on lately. What's the concensus?
Is this hack dead?

No, the mod's not dead. If i'm not wrong, Hart had to do some ASM for some things he wanted on it, and he's been quite busy lately, so he hasn't had time to work on this or MMXHT.

Hart's been absent for a while now, dealing with RL stuff. One day he may return, in the far distant future.

there are a few others out there, not too terribly many but there are some...... i would recommend the shadowrock patch as a means to hold you over until this hack gets back on its feet, ive played it and its quite fun imo

Eh, not a fan of shadowrock's patch at all. Too much emphasis on cheese control (like freeze, bubble status, etc) and invis abuse.
Basically, the one thing that's been stalling me from continuing is my inability to code anything in ASM for the GBA. It's just too hard for me, nothing like in SNES. I just need that *click* in my head for everything to wrap up, but I don't know, I just don't get it. I need help, like I got from justin to learn the basics in SNES (guy explained it so well).
