Insane Difficulty: A Few Questions Before I Download This - Insane Difficulty

Steam is putting this game on sale this weekend, so I'm probably going to take the plunge on this. Just a few questions first though, so I know what I'm gonna have to do--Does this hack swap out the terrible PC music for the PS1 music? Or is this already fixed in the Steam version? Or do I need to find some kind of music fixing patch to make my ears not bleed when playing?

Sorry in advance if all this info is regularly available somewhere else. It's been a long week, and I'm tired.

Thanks for the quick response SC--knowing I don't need to jack around with the music makes me ~50% more motivated to give this a shot!

You should give it a shot. It's well worth the cost of the Steam download. I started last weekend and have been enjoying it a lot, just got to Gold Saucer last night.

I didn't want to make my own thread just to ask this so i figured I could use this one -

I really want to play this mod but I've seen that there's a big rework coming in the future with v1.4 -
My main question is.. should I just wait for that one to try this for the first time? I ask this because I really want to try it (kind of impatient) but i'd rather not replay the game twice in a row in such a short amount of time.
So, would I have enough time to comfortably play 1.35 before 1.4 out? Or is it one of those "just around the corner" deals and should really just wait?
I'm not trying to put pressure on the dev or anything, I'm just speculating
