If you are wondering why you are not able to access Eve Online, Minecraft, or League of Legends, look no further than newly emerging hacking group LuLzSec (short for LULZ Security), who, well, LUL all over your security.
Lulz Sec Website
Hello, good day, and how are you? Splendid! We're LulzSec, a small team of lulzy individuals who feel the drabness of the cyber community is a burden on what matters: fun. Considering fun is now restricted to Friday, where we look forward to the weekend, weekend, we have now taken it upon ourselves to spread fun, fun, fun, throughout the entire calender year.
Today they add those companies to their long list of high profile hacked and defaced websites, servers, and online services. It seems no one can stop LULZSec, not even the FBI.
Lulzsec has previously antagonized 4chan and /b/tards, saying:
Like that Harry Potter movie quote says about Voldemort: "He did great things. Terrible, but great."

Oh well. Needed a break anyway.
I was just about to start on my next project: Ephirhiah - the Fire Temple
FUN FACT: It takes four stacks of sand to make one stack of sandstone.

What is up with the recent uprising of hackings across the net? It all seem to have started with Sony too.

Had you stayed inside the server you would have been fine.
Now that you need to login to minecraft.net again you're going to have to wait until their staff fixes things up.

Yeah, but the lag went through the roof.
I now have 10 stacks of sandstone. That's 40 stacks of sand.
I figured it was time to log out anyway.

The pic is awesome, and, at least, they are better than

We should sympathise with and endorse people who intentionally make other people's days worse for no good reason.

Taking down websites just isn't as lulzy as they seem to think it is.
I get that it pisses off a lot of basement dwellers, which can be funny in some circumstances (or hysterical when it's Westboro Church), but after so many years of seeing this same shtick from Anon / Anon-dissenters, it just isn't all that funny anymore.
Old lulz is old.

These guys are wayyyy more dangerous than Anon though, or anything Anon has ever tried
I'm not sure what their motivations are, but I do know they back Wikileaks, because they attacked PBS.org after they aired some Wikileaks slander programming
@ Philsov: just so we're clear I'm not endorsing, just reporting (especially here since a lot of us play MC)

They should consider putting their powers to more effective uses, then.
Such as hacking a Gibson.
Wouldn't you just loooove, to hack into one of them Gibsons, man?
Jolt Cola. Hack the Planet.

I'm not sure what their motivations are
As far as I can tell, it's to expose flaws in security. On people they like, they report the breech, don't release stuff, and hope they fix the problem. On people they dislike, they allegedly blackmail the CEO. The most recent shutdown strikes me more as a political move, just to distance themselves from the average neckbearded Anon script kid because "anon" has been handed credit for some of the previous actions. And what better way than taking down gaming websites that "anon" is fond of.
And more! Hacking porn sites and then publicly posting user data!

These guys probably sign into Facebook with the same email/pass combo, so we suggest the following:
1) sign into their Facebook accounts
2) find their family members
3) tell them all about how the victim (you!) signed up to porn sites
4) watch the hilarity
5) tell us about it on twitter!
6) ???????
7) PROFIT

Shotgun approach, chaotic stupid, etc.
