Man that was awesome! Not just the difficulty increase, but the way single, double, and triple techs were re-balanced to make anything other than Luminaire, Triple Kick, and Crisis Arm Uzi Punch useful.
My primary boss fight party became Crono, Frog, and Marle. Marle was on Haste, Cure, and Life2 duty most of the time. Ice Sword 2 and Spire were my primary means of dealing damage. And it's so nice to have Double Cure in your pocket when you need it.
My primary walkin' around party eventually became Robo, Ayla, Frog because Spin Strike was so powerful. I usually had Prism Specs on Frog, Silver Rock on Robo, and a Gold Stud on Ayla (so Drop Kick wouldn't kill her MP), and Spin Strike averaged about 7k for me in the Black Omen.
I was sad that I couldn't find more use for Magus. His lack of double techs was a big reason. But the bigger reason was that I didn't really appreciate his triple techs. Dark Eternal and Omega Flare never seemed to provide the damage I was looking for in a triple tech.
Anywho, thanks for an amazing mod. This community continues to astound me.

I always see Magus as a red mage: He can use all The mid-tier elemental magic pretty well, and have dark element spells, a very hard element to capitalize sometimes. So he can be put in whatever party you ser fit and rip trough enemies, those triple techs are just there because i dont know

Hmm for Omega Flare: did you try putting prism specs on Magus, sun shades on Lucca, and the rock on Robo? It dishes out some of the best AoE damage in the game (not as as high as Spin Strike, but Spin Strike is single target). Aside from that, Magus's main perk is Dark Bomb which does rather impressive damage to a single target/small AoE, at least for being a single tech. Aside from his triple tech parties, Magus functions well in a party where the other two chars will be using dual tech heals, since his single tech damage is only rivaled by a Crono that has been fed a lot of magic tabs. All that being said, though, having zero dual techs is a big drawback for him, yeah.

I did not try Omega Flare with that setup. I've always been averse to using 20-mp techs without a stud. Maybe I'll give it a whirl on my next playthrough.

I was certainly averse to that in the original, but late game in this hardtype it felt worth it to me, particularly given the prevalence of MP restoring items.
