My party is just going into Rolante for the first time… just made it to the Amazon hideout, about to go to Corobokkle forest… and everyone is about to hit level 18.
This means no mana stone to class up with for a while yet.
I know the stat caps were removed in regards to gaining levels, but how does this affect class up? If I'm not touching the mana stone until, say, level 22, will this handicap me in any way for classing up late? Will there still be a stat bonus?
I have a feeling a natural play through on this hack will get me MUCH closer to level 99 by the end, vs. the vanilla.
I just don't want to nerf myself! I'm gaining levels so much faster (and the enemies are still DESTROYING me… poison hurts!).
Thanks!

The levels have been practically doubled on the hack. If you normally beat the game on level 40-50, you'll be on level 80-99 by the end of the game. This means you'll also change classes a lot sooner, performing the first class change at the Corridor of Wind, and the second class change at Sub-Zero Snowfields, Valley of Flames or Moonlight Forest, depending on your levels. You can also get class change items a lot sooner. For example, Papa Potos in the Seashore Cave in Bucca drop ??? seeds.
As for stats, the hack prevents you from leveling up beyond the level when you're supposed to perform a class change. In other words, when you reach level 18, you'll stay on that level until you change classes. The EXP you've acquired after reaching level 18 will be given to you after class changing, so no EXP will be lost. It's normal that your characters jump several levels up right after class change if you've stayed at the level cap for long.

Thank you! That's good to know. I racked up so many levels early just advance more than two screens in a dungeon before running back to a gold statue. I'll be looking forward to my payout at the Corridor of Wind…
