So! I'm currently brainstorming the development of the 8 Maverick Stages.
As you know if you've played the alpha version of New Hard Type, I can now customize the entire shape of the levels, meaning I can completely change the way the stage plays, and the places X travels through to reach each of the Mavericks. The openness of this means that I need to first imagine the mini world X will travel to reach the boss.
And I want you guys to help me! If you were to reimagine the Maverick Stages for Hard Type, how would they be? For example, one of our members suggested for say Flame Mammoth, to be a factory that gradually turns into a hot lava stage, while descending to the depths of the volcano. For say Launch Octopus, I want to make it resemble Pirate Man's stage in Mega Man and Bass: Open sections with floating spikes to act as hazards, and closed underwater sections to play with the physics gimmick. Another member suggested that I try to replicate the wind used by Storm Eagle to create blizzards in Penguin's stage.
Let your imagination run wild, because even if you think an idea is not feasible, it's still the best thing to brainstorm and think outside of the box! I want you guys to be involved in the development, and so that you know that I'm working on this continually!
